I've been focusing on two main ones, the lvl 72 yigit crackows (lebros) & the lvl 60 int+3 mnd+2 enlightened chain (mamook). There is a nice int+3 mnd+3 ring from Lebros too but as it can be bought on AH and the boots are rare/ex I'm going for the boots first.
The enlightened chain is having all sorts of interesting effects on BLM neck equipment. The intellect torque was always 3 million (it only has int +2). The Philomath Stole was also around 3 million (int +3, level 61). The Enlightened Chain is better than both of these, and is already selling for just 2 million. Intellect torque price has fallen as a result, dunno about the stole but who in their right mind would buy that now, wouldn't be surprised if it ends up worthless.
Annoyed it's happened now, after I've had to spend the best part of 40 levels wearing that ****ty black neckerchief cos I couldn't afford any upgrades ><
And now that I have finally upgraded I've got the uggalepih pendant which makes all of those pointless anyway, lol (other than for capped events)

Yeah, having just looked at Mystery Tour, the Enlightened Chain looks amazing. I've been after a better INT+ item for my neck for an age (with the same problems as D). This is No.1 on my list of wants now!
Also looking very sweet is the Yigit Gages (hands) from Mamool @ Lv72 (MND+5, INT+5, Magic Attack+2, Added Refresh). That is No.2 on the list.
^_^
damn - want those Yigit Crackows boots as well... Guess I will be after *many* Assaults...!Last edited by talizker; 11-07-2006, 10:49.

Well, I still reckon RDM has got to be at least as useful as a fast-hitting NIN for a trio. Unlike melee hits a tier 1 nuke never hits for 0 damage, also you would be able to refresh the blms, and would have convert available for more MP if things got tight. Once I'm done with trying it with Meric we could give it a shot?

Same as we did it with the full group:
i.e BLM puts 4 enfeebles on the first wall (with 2 BLMs I figured better to do 2 each to ease MP strain) and chain nuke tier 1 spells (stone/water/aero etc).. making sure to put the enfeebles back on as soon as they wear off (we filter attack/miss messages so it's not overlooked). I figure at this point you could also be doing tier 1 nukes, and giving refresh. We already have refresh from black cloaks and sanction (plus smn sub if available) but more is better, as we will be splitting up after 1st wall so need a decent supply. (90% sure this is where we lost it yesterday as Daragon ran out of MP before the first wall was down.)
Then one of the BLMs goes up the ramp and solos the wall up there, the other two go on to the next one downstairs and repeat the process, when the upstairs BLM is finished depending on time I guess he goes to help on the 4th wall, then returns to the start leaving the others to do the last wall. Guessing now as we didn't get that far.
I don't think the cap is important, elemental nukes seem to do a fixed amount of damage regardless of level, so the only benefit a higher level would give you is more MP. It's possible we were slow cos I'm too weak for uncapped, but on the basis of a few other things I don't think that was it. I've solod a wall at the 70 cap no problem.
From what Rare said, beating it as a trio uncapped gives 1333 assault points. That could change with the next update as they are altering the points rewards to prevent people excluding other jobs, lol. Opposite effect I think, cos I didn't even consider it until I saw that mentioned on PlayOnline... no doubt Apa was the same ^^

I'm trying to build my fame up to lv.4 in each nation so that I can go through with the tele-scroll quests. I have around 12-15 quests for each nation which I'm going to complete with my Emissary mission tonight on the run up to the Horlais peak dragon.
I may need some help with the tele-Dem quest too. >< I mainly just need escorting through the ****adel in order to touch the ??? without getting agroed and losing 600 exp each time.Last edited by dataDave; 11-07-2006, 13:58.

Exactly. I use Spider Torque for Enfeebling and then if there are no resists will try either the INT+ or MND+ neck to increase longevity of the enfeeble (where approproate). INT+ is also needed for spells such as Drain and Aspir. As a RDM I think the Elemental Torque would be very useful for nuking but its far too expensive for a piece just to use on MB's in Exp Parties.
Basically I have 3 neck pieces atm (Enfeebling+, MND+ and INT+), it just so happens that the INT ones are incredibly expensive so a +3 for a lowish number of Assault points is

After what seemed to be a long night with little achievement last night I am ready to go on the BCNM30 tonight. Equip'd, Macro'd and Orb'd, in Bastok ready for an OP Warp. The only question I have is do I go with a BLM sub or is NIN more suitable for the kiting duties (as no Phalanx and Stoneskin @ Lv30).
I think the plan is to do the CoP uncapped NM's after. I haven't seen Mosley on the last two nights so no idea if anyone has mentioned CoP stuff for tonight/tomorrow (only Tsing friendly nights this week).
One thing made me smile last night, sometimes people spend many M Gil on an item that adds another +1 to MND or INT and after yesterdays discussion I was checking out some of my Lv7x options on the AH. The Errant Slops look like an amazing replacement for my Magic Cuisses (INT/MND +3) with a massive INT/MND +7. I check the history expecting to see 1, 2 or maybe 3M Gil... No, the price for INT/MND +7... 10k O.o Now Saerik tells me its because they are a popular skill up item but I mean damn, how can something with such massive stats be so damn cheap??? The other Errant items I am interested in aren't quite as bargain priced but its all very obtainable. Sweet!
