Just to let you know, I've dug out the old video of our Promyvion Mea battle from back in April 2005 and posted it on YouTube as I now have an account there.

Its really cool watching it after all this time. Nice that the shell is still going strong, too.

I never thought about youtube as an option for hosting videos, any idea if you can upload divx or xvid videos, I have been off work most this past week (recovering from being attacked) and managed to convert most of my ffxi videos, which was about 230gig of fraps worth lol, I needed to clear the space so I can backup stuff I need ready for a Vista clean install.

I know I got alot of the boss fights and stuff, I will maybe test it out this weekend on youtube.

Do you think Rargh could take down Bomb Queen, or is this fight more for a HNMLS? I finally have all the spawn items.

HNMLS, could be doable with maybe 4 BLM, 2 tanks, 2THF and Refresh.

Here is the strategy I have contocted to fight the BQ with, any coometns alternative strategies etc?

Getting There
Zone into Ifrit's Cauldron from the Yhoater Jungle at G-6 the Western entrance. On entering Ifrit's Cauldron hug the right wall and take the second right on the first map at H-8. From here proceed straight on till you reach the centre of Ifrit's Cauldron and then turn right. The pop area for the bombo qeen is now the firsth right in a small cave containing a ???.

Zone Agro
The route through Ifrit's Cauldron takes you past a number of agro mobs

- Bombs: Sight and magic
- Goblins: Sight
- Dodemeki: Sound
- Scoprions: Sound

All members should have both Prism Powder / Shinobi-Tabi and Silent Oils (this should be standard gear for any LS event but surprising how often we get caught without).

The Basics
The Bomb Queen is a forced spawn NM found in Ifrit's Cauldron, if is popped by trading the following to the ??? at xxxx on the third map.

- 3 x Bomb Queen Ash (dropped from Volcanic Gas)
- 1 x Bomb Queen Core (dropped from Volcanic Bomb)

The Bomb Queen is a bomb type mob but does not self destruct, it does however mini-bombs repeatedly. These mini bombs have low HP but will self destruct quickly.

The Strategy
Party 1 - Bomb Queen Tank Party
NIN (PLD can be used but required more healing)
NIN (PLD can be used but required more healing)
THF (Other DD can be used /THF at least prefered to help set hate)
THF (Other DD can be used /THF at least prefered to help set hate)
WHM (Other healing job is fine)
BRD (RDM as refresh if BRD not available)

Party 2 - Bomb Prince / Princess Party
BLM (Other nuker is usable RNG - SMN - RDM)
BLM (Other nuker is usable RNG - SMN - RDM)
BLM (Other nuker is usable RNG - SMN - RDM)
BLM (Other nuker is usable RNG - SMN - RDM)
BRD (If no BRD free use another nuker and cycle nukers for MP)
RDM (If no RDM MP users will need yag drinks)

Party 3 - Bomd Queen DD Party
Fill with whatever is left over for DD on Bomb Queen

Main tanks pops the Bomb Queen and THF (or /THF use SATA to help build hate). The bomb queen is melleed like any other mob there is no rush to defeat obviously though faster is better.

When Bomb Queen spawns adds these are to be cleared with tier III / tier II ga's, Fire obviously. The tank party must keep the hate threshhold as high as poissible to allow this to happen.

Got myself four stacks of grain last night. I'm sure THF drops more even without TH. 8months ago that'd be just under 200k... now it's more like 64k. ; ;

Tonight I'm off to Windurst for some pineapples, marjoram + salt and to get a couple of quests out the way - Then a warp back to Bastok to lvl THF through Konschtat in an effort to get to a lvl suitable enough to farm Sheep for jerky meat . I like the idea of living off the land... Konschtat is going to provide me with grain + sheep leather for gil and meat for meh jerkies.

Come 6:45 I'll be heading back to Bastok to change to RDM.

I actually wouldn't mind camping that MysticMaker Profblix... He drops a ton of lvl50+ BLM stuff that's going to cost me thousands.

The only real item of worth from him is that earring which is an essential bit of kit (yet I didn't have the motivation to go after it until 75 lol)
