Well good to hear you're back too Wedge. What race/nation did you choose and if you stick with it long-term, what are your job plans?

I'm currently back on "thinking about diving into WoW mode" after my recent "vote of no confidence" in FFXI lol.
While I'd be keeping my FFXI account active if I did "migrate", most of my evenings are still spent running aimlessly around Whitegate or BST lvling, boring myself rigid with farming or finally Nyzul Isle once a week, thus the reason for the move.
After close to 5 years I think it's time for a bit of a change of scenary. I've gone ahead and ordered a copy of the WotLK collector's edition (which will be ebayed if I have a change of heart before launch) I can't believe what I've seen of some areas in WoW based on screenshots, some of the areas look really special and unlike FFXI offers a great deal more freedom due to lack of invisible walls, which in all honesty no-one likes.

Screens, gfx and art are the least of the best bits.
Giving other people pure ass-kicking is where it's at. It's the most rewarding experience I've ever felt from a game. So much so that playing anything other than a AAA retro title is totally lifeless to me now.
Download this: http://dodownload.filefront.com/1175...87f613ce3ba825 If watching that doesn't make you want to PvP for the rest of your life then nothing will.
Also go to vurtne.net and check out some of his vids.Last edited by dataDave; 16-10-2008, 13:52.

I would say the main thing I have missed in new mmo's is the reliance on other players, teaming up to accomplish things, too much can be done solo in these new ones.

Did you delete your original character Wedge? I could never have done that!

From playing FFXI, thus quitting the gym, then quitting FFXI for WoW... I lost 4 stones and was told by various people I looked to be on the verge of death.
I think getting some weight back and sorting my **** out is more in order atm. Just on with some PSone stuff and looking forward to Castle Crashers/Raiden IV/Megaman 9 at chrimbex.
Once you start choose Al'Akir realm. It's one of the best.
