The Holla run went really well, the person organising made sure everyone came prepared and I dont think the boss got off one of its aoe moves, just need to do Dem and Mea now.Comment

After 2 awful runs soloing SE Apollyon most recently, finally got back to winning ways with a near perfect attempt last night.
It’s a risky solo as the slimes hit hard if they do get through my shadows so one mistake, or a bit of bad luck involving Fluid Spread/double attack can end the run. To be honest I had a couple of fortunate moments last night with one or two lucky paralyze procs when shadows were down.
The solo involves 8 slimes (I can’t solo the boss), each of which has the potential to drop a coin. Killing the second drops the time chest (giving me a total of 40 mins to kill all 8), the fourth drops a recovery chest whilst the eight drops the item chest (containing 4 coins and an AF upgrade item). Thought my luck was in when I got 3 coins from the first 4 mobs but sadly none of the others dropped giving me 7 for the run. I won’t get any AF upgrades this way but it pulls in more coins per run than a Limbus LS would (and I have the advantage of being able to run every 3 days). Probably continue with this for a few months to get the accessories then look at running Limbus properly for AF upgrades where the coin requirements are lower anyway.
Fingers crossed for another decent attempt on Friday and I’ll finally have a Boxer’s Mantle (long overdue). Not sure what to go for after that. Either a Loquacious Earring or Stealth Earring (Ninjutsu skill +5).Comment

Boxer's is 75 and is a must item for PLD, NIN and I'd say solo THF as well. Loq is a must for anything that casts shadows and another 75.
Slowly moving through crafting at the moment, last week went smithing 46 -> 55 and goldsmithing 51 -> 53 + picked up the key item sheeting. Next target is smithing 60, goldsmithing 54 and the +1 goldsmithing glasses.
Oh and got my waders for fishing but taking a break while I do some crafting.Comment
