It is nice having Rargh back, it's more or less where I started the game was levle 30 when I joied I think. It's where I learned to play and has generally had my best buddies online. Don't get me wrong end game is great fun and I'm still splitting my time but I love playing with the old crew

Now that you're 50 you get a couple of meaningful upgrades to RNG gear which I will go over with later. The best of which is probably this:



Which is an NM drop so I'll hunt it with you if you like. It's rarely camped.

Also, you can start on your AF quests now. Again nothing too difficult (I soloed or at worst duoed them so can help you out no problem). One of your coffers is in Garlaige Citadel unfortunately which means you need to get behind the banishing gates. Normally hard but the addition of the cavernous maws means it is now a lot easier.

Give us a shout when you get online and I'll take you on a tour around the [S] zones and sort you out with what you need.

The NM is a Lynx (retextured Coeurl basically) and spawns in Sauromugue Champaign [S].

For the first time in ages, I've had a really fun evening in this game.

I finally got NIN to 30 the other night, and to 31 tonight with Azar/Wedge's help (thanks man), and I've also managed to get Ranger from 48 to 50.

At long last, I might add, and I'm sure there are a few others thinking the same thing.

Hope to carry on with Ranger later today, time permitting, and get to 52 or higher.

Also, I'm glad Rargh has started up again, the LS was always a key part of the fun of the game.

Haha, I forgot the most important thing. You need to clear the first Limit Break quest now too. Otherwise you'll get to 1EXP tnl and stop gaining any EXP. You need to do this every 5 levels from now.

To activate the quest go and talk to Maat in in Ru'Lude Gardens.

Attempted In a Haze of Glory a few times over the weekend. First time I went in not sure what to expect solo and was making decent progress but was spending too much time killing everything I saw.

Second go I duoed with Kujara as PLD/RDM and we got to boss then I made a mistake on the pull and ended up linking the mobs guarding the warmachine and despite our best efforts we got swamped.

We were going to try again yesterday but he seemed to log after Sky so I went in again solo and again got to the boss and made a casting mistake and got obliterated by an orc.

I could solo this easy if I wasn't so lazy and had leveled up DNC as a subjob.

Hoepfully Kujara is around next time I try then I can move onto Bastok quests.

Haze of Glory is a fun fight not sure I'd want to try it on melee, its a fairly easy duo on BLM/RDM x 2 but time is a concern. I did it with Dakkon, walked through destroying the flasks to pull gaurds to us so we only had 2 at boss when we got there. Made minimal other kills on the way, the actually boss is fairly tough if you intend to melee it.

I'm currently leveling WAR (at Lv13) in Konschtat Highlands so would probably be easier if we wait until i'm done there (hopefully this week) to get back to normal home point with easy access to transport etc.

Sooooooooooooooooooooooo Ive started looking at other servers

My current status is abit of a mess, im not doing things I want to do and theres nothing really on our server that fits into my timezone. E.g Einerjar and Dynamis. Our past zones are never under anything but Beast control, and lack of EU HNMLS thats not currupt to hell is lacking. (Although will I find that else where who knows?)

Looking about I found these guys http://ambitionls.com/ on midgard. So ive applied for them. If you check out there site on there app section they are going to run a BG check on me so when they do if you have a BG account if anyone could stick somthing nice in there would be apriciated.

Id be sad to go but, I feel like if I dont ill prob just end up quitting.

I've had a look at the site you linked, and you are correct. It's a shame that no EU linkshells like that exist on Seraph.

I wouldn't call most HNMLS corrupt. The problem lies with the fact that none of them seem to implement a fair "rewards" system.

In most cases, players who hold pearl sacks seem to have priority on items so long as they don't have them. Certainly in a few shells I've been a part of, this seemed to be the norm. Even if a sack holder didn't use the job or use the job regularly that the item would have most benefited from, they still took it.

To be fair on everyone, each drop should have a points value assigned to it, with each member that met or exceeded the value having lotting rights. That way, sack holders wouldn't necessarily end up with the drop, thus ensuring regular return visits to attempt to re-obtain the drop.

At the end of the day, giving drops to the same people time after time is neither smart or fair - a group of people kitted out in decent gear is always going to be preferable to a single player kitted out in decent gear, and sadly, greed seems to blind most people to that idea.
