I'm really surprised that Wetrix never came out in Japan since the Japanese love their puzzle type games.

64DD Kyojin No Doshin ...DJ898, great choice mate, I absolutely played that game to death, it's great fun, especially tring to build all the monuments which will take you a good while.

The GC version is better graphically and probably a better game overall, plus the fact that you can play it in English helps, but the 64dd game will always have a special place in my heart. It was also the surprise winner of the Core Magazine(went on to become Polygon, and have a print mag under that name.) game of the year back in 2000, which was incredible to me for a US website.

Ah, they are discs sent out by Sega to members of the Sega Partners club. The last one was sent out in February 1999, 4 months after the Dreamcast was released in Japan. The discs contain interviews with programmers, specials such as the Tokyo Game Shows and Sega TV adds as well as game previews and playable demos.

EDIT - just got these in.

More stuff this afternoon. Got yet another fishing game for the Saturn (Must have all of them by now) and Virtual Casino but the best deal was a Victor Video CD and Photo CD card for under 600 yen ! I was sort of wondering if it would work in a normal Sega Saturn since my Hitachi one doesn't. So I gave it a test and yes, it works in a Sega branded Saturn !! No need for the Photo Operation CD either with this card.

Yes it was free for my man Vince! But it did come at a price. me and Vince picked up and transported two heavy cabs yesterday, and in the evening I had to go the the walk in centre to see a doctor, as I had strained my groin (!) and ended up with a spasm in my bladder (!!) which basically meant that for several hours I felt as though I needed to piss all of the time (!!!). Was up the centre for three hours, had to test my urine to check I didn't have a urinary infection (thank **** I didn't) and now looks like I may have to take a day off work tomorrow as I have been prescribed bedrest. Because I don't actually know when I genuinely need to urinate, I am in and out of the toilet every five minutes. Am just thankful I didn't end up having an embarrasing incontinent episode yesterday. My wife was furious, as I was meant to be watching baby today so she can go out for the day and she thought I was going to be totally useless ("It is because of your ****ing arcade machines that this happened!") - luckily I am OK though so she was able to go.

Anyway - I got my 2nd cab yesterday. Inside it is an ancient shooter called "Skywolf" which basically rips off "Airwolf" (even has the same music from the tv show). Gameplay wise it is very playable, a bit like Choplifter. This cab is in better nick than my first one, so am going to get some new buttons and Sanwa sticks for it soon. I won't post any pics as it is identical to my other cab and the one Vince has just shown!

Anyways, last night I scored Magical Drop III for a fiver.

Drac X - best version for sure (extra bits over the ps one), sf2 - fabulous, sfa2' is amazing. Good way to start the saturn for sure.

Recent crap for me. Green triangle sf gaiden to go with my red triangle one, gaiden 2 (got hayja also). The pro striker is the complete recall version as opposed to the mixed rereleased one, and the neo love is truly back. Cyberlip (carton) very fun game, a poor man's contra admitedly but still great, breakers, wowee, and twinkle star sprites.

Yet again more games from me. What started out as a bit of a dud weekend for games has turned out to be a great weekend. Just came back from a drive with 3 more Saturn games. I only went out because I was fed up in the house. While driving I came across this 24 hour book shop that also had a sign saying they sold CDs, DVDs and games. So I popped in only to find **** loads of stuff for next to nothing. Just a shame I only had a 1000 yen note on me. I must have had about 15 games in the basket when I realized that I had no cash Anyway, got Capcom Generations 3, Game Ware Vol.4 and NFL Quarter back. All 3 are mint with spines and so one. NFL has a black & white instruction book though just like all of Acclaims other ****ty releases in Japan.
