I've got 5 brand new in box mini snes consoles! but nobody knows what power supply to use with them. I want to make sure they work before I sell them. so if anyone knows what power suppy to use i'll sell you one cheap!

A megadrive 1 PSU. You can buy them from ebay UK for a few quid.

nope. tried that. the connection is completely different.

Really? That's what I use with my SFC jr. Are you sure it wasn't a MD2 power supply you had?

no, it an MD1. I know it works with the famicom jr, thats why I tried it.

If you look at the pic of the power supply in the pic you can see that the connection on the lead is alot thicker than normal and it also has a pin inside.

I had a look at your thread and it looks like the us snes (old type) has the same connection! so then I could use a step down and it should work.

I havent tried a step down for the minis yet because the ones that came with them are 220v?

Radio Shack here in the States are clearing out SNES PSUs for about $5 each, still the connector is a fairly common one now so it shouldn't be too hard to find.
