It was the Japanese page I was referring to. I used to have the fastest Hornet time on there.
Surprised the EU page still exists though. The last time I checked it, all you could do was look at it, not upload a time or ghost etc. It was like that for ages...

Woah, never realised the PCE was that small

                Just got this little lot...

Only really wanted a few of the rarer ones out of the pile, the rest will be put in the trading thread later this year.

The pce i got didnt have a cover for the expansion port. Do any have this? and I also got a back-up booster II what exactly does this do? I had a look inside and there is a battery? (saves games?)

Yah, they had a cover for the port. Not sure about the Core but the original white one had a cover of a rather shocking pink hue.

By the way I'm surely not the only one that loves the electronic-y smell of PC Engines...?

All 3 *standard* PCE have port covers. The back up is save ram for the few Hu Card games that use it, mostly cd games use it (built in to cd units).....but some Hu RPG's like Nutopia series use it.

And PC Engines do smell like a ****able organism.

Got this this morning for the Mailman. Nissan Collections - Skyline and it is a video CD.

Some of you are saying 'Video CD?' what that got to do with Retro gaming? Well nothing, except look closely at the bad pictures and you will notice the Sega logo in it. Look at the second picture and it has the GS catalogue number (GS-7005) which shows that it is part of the Sega Saturn family. The copyrights are (C) SEGA Enterprises, LTD. 1996 (C) Nissan Motor Co.,Ltd. 1996

However look for this online comes up with nothing, nadda, nowt (sp?) (no tell a lie I got a link to a defunct auction page). Only GS-71xx numbers appear on Saturn lists, nothing lower then that. I know that Nissan did sell the Hitachi Navi Saturn in some dealerships in Japan and this might be part of the bundle but why have a collection of cars if you are going to buy a car anyway?

Anyone throw anymore light on this one?

I think Yakumo might know. He certainly had some interesting DC car based ****.

That Video CD is part of a series of video CDs that Sega released, probably to get people to buy the VCD card for the Saturn. They do the same thing these days but with DVDs. THey released a Virtua Figter VCD as well as others including a Saturn CG collection which they recently did again on DVd with **** loads more stuff.

                                Yakumo
