Not sure if this really counts, but I got one of them Blaze Dreamcast VGA box things (thanks RetroRevival).
Looks like these third party ones are better than the official ones, this one has an S-Video and Composite output for non-VGA games, as well as 2 headphones outputs! I believe you can force many non-VGA games into VGA by switching between S-Video and VGA on bootup - Can't do this on the official lead, you gotta do a bit of cable swapping, this lets you do it with a flick of a switch.
I have this connected to the DVI-I port on my TV, and it rocks, never seen Shenmue look so clean, and the colours are so vibrant! If anything, it's too clean, shows up the jaggies and makes you wonder if the DC anti-alaising was really all that...
Regardless, the best way to connect up the Dreamcast. Has me really looking forward to the 360 true-VGA hookup.

Really? Always assumed Sega just made the basic cable, never knew they made a full-on VGA box.
Shame these all have S-Video and not RGB, though given the amount of titles that seem to dislike RGB, maybe this is better. No VGA passthrough either, and those Performance boxes are impossible to find.
The boardered atrocity that is PAL VF3tb works on this thing, full screen 60Hz VGA. Would have been a simple job to just add a 50/60Hz menu then, lazy gits.Last edited by sj33; 28-10-2005, 11:18.

Are don't you just love the back streets of the UK, you never quite know if your going to come back after taking a trip down there.
Any way picked up the following three titles for ?10.85 all complete and in good condition, UK version.
Virtua Cop (Sega Saturn)
World of Illusion starring Mickey and Donald (Mega Drive)
ThunderHawk (Mega CD)

Originally posted by seany1979A new retro games shop has opened down by where my in laws live, and I was in that neck of the woods yesterday so had a look. Most stuff is in good nick, and the fella replaced any boxes that were broken free of charge. They had a good N64, 3DO and CD-i section.
They don't happen to have "Zelda's Adventure" for the CD-i do they (one with an image of a castle with window on the cover)? I've been after a copy for ages. eBay tends to be pricey, unless you buy it direct from Holland sellers (which thanks to Philips being there, seems to have gotten a bigger share of the copies produced).
