I was going to buy a couple more, but I had already stocked up on a couple of other games, music CDs, and pressies, I didn't have the space. I am still pissed that they had no PSPs ANYWHERE in Osaka though.. Grr. That was back in January. I'd imagine the situation would be different now.

Ah well, I managed to get the new Chems and Lemon Jellys CDs before they were out here, so it wasn't all bad. Oh, and some Lumines postcards too

Were they the only 'Shindou' versions of previous games?

I believe so, yes. As the rumble pak came out shortly after Japanese launch, with Starfox64, so Nintendo released those two games.

Nice find there. A "Shindou" version of Blastdozer/Blast Corps would've been great. Shame it never happened.

Got Tobal No.1 today. Always fancied it back in the day, but never got around to getting it. Never played Tobal 2 either.. (which is better?)

Seems there's a FFVII disc or something with it according to the spine.

One of my customers asked me to get them their 'dream' Jap MD collection of their past favourites. Went to Akihabara and got them all in 3 hours in A1 condition complete. Luckily the MD here is very easy to collect for here, probably the easiest format:

MD and MCD are very cheap in Japan apart from few oddballs...
compared to it SS and PCE are quite expensive...

When I see pics like this, it justifies collecting in my mind; the boxes are a work of art. Japanese MD stuff is just so cool, if I could I would buy all my faves too.



edit... I have got Magical Hat though; bought it ages ago, and had no idea what it was, I just loved the box. Luckily it turned-out to be one of the best MD games ever; it still looks and plays well.

This came through the post the other day with a system and a couple of controllers.



Happy with itas the description was 'all games boxed' but infact all bar F22 have instructions and Phantasy star II has the official hint/guide book with it aswell.

It seems a long time ago when EA released random RPG's. I'vegot quite a few now, most of them crap. All of them have the same cover format with the bug picture in the centre and then the title boxed in the bottom left or right side. That was a bit of a brand thing back in those days alongside the big yellow band on the spine.
