Was having a dig around in my loft this afternoon and found a mint looking Japanese Saturn console. In my eagerness to see if it work I plugged my UK saturn's power cord into it I got a mini fireworks display !!!!

Anyone have any idea how I can fix it, looks like its blown a fuse inside but not too sure if i can get it out (i'm a saturn noob sorry)

Also I found an action replay cart (if i remember rightly will this allow me to play any region games on my new found jap console) If i get it fixed!!!

So I take it you never knew the console was there? Isn't exactly something you'd forget...

Hi chaps, I'm new here but I've been lurking around occasionally... mostly because I've been a bit of a Sega fan for ages. Got a MD, SCD, PAL (not chipped aaargh) Saturn, and a PAL DC, so I guess that qualifies me. Oh, mustn't forget that Game Gear! :P

Just to keep it on topic... I recently bought a PAL copy of Alisia Dragoon (MD) from my local Next-Gen for a very reasonable 3 quid. Nice if tough platformer! Found a near-mint copy of the USA edition of Starfox which I had to snap up. ?15 though.

Anyway, I can see there's a lot of other Brits posting on the forums here, showing off all these wonderful import Saturn games I'll probably never get a chance to own (I've a weakness for anime cover art). But tell me, do any of you know of any decent stores that carry this sort of thing, in or around north Hampshire, Berkshire, Camberley? Well, as close to Farnborough as possible...

We're all Brits on here, hence NTSC-uk. Except one American woman who posts in Off Topic (don't ask :P), and an Australian dude (sorry, can't remember your name!).

Oh, and JRMacumber, he's American too .

Got House Of The Dead 2 boxset with gun (minty) (PAL) and Bangi-O (PAL, mint except for shonky but replaceable box) for ?25 in Gamestation.

Why limit yourself to stores ebay, jap game dealers and here are wonderful places to pick up gems.

I did not think Japanese N64 games came sealed?

Just got bloody sniped for a copy of KoF Dream Match 99 on fleabay. Was so angry that I threw a pen at a colleague here at work.

                      That's why I don't bother with e-bay. Unless there's a "buy it now" option. :P

So come on then, doesn't anyone know of any stores in this area? If not, well, which of these "jap game dealers" are reliable enough to order from over the net?

I would pay that for Pilotwings alone! - Bargain.

made up for getting shafted over that KoF by picking up some princely bargains in my friendly neighbourhood Gamestation, of all places.

Got a boxed MD Hellfire (no instructions) for ?1.99

A boxed, mint Jet Force Gemini (N64, ?6.99)

Power Stone (DC, mint - ?4.99)

Mischeif Makers (N64, cart only, ?1.99)

Not played any of them yet except Hellfire, what a cracking old-skool shooter. Not a patch on my Thunderforce 3+4, but very good nonetheless. i got Mischief Makers solely because someone on here advised it was a Treasure title, and I am slowly but surely trying to build up my collection. Is it any good? Couldn't be arsed to set up the N64 last night.

I picked up a copy of the first Goemon game, US release for SNES as "Legend of the Mystical Ninja". Where Goemon is "Ying" and his faithful companion is "Dr. Yang". It reads like the script of the old Speed Racer series dub. Heh. I also got Jurassic Park and Jurassic Park: Rampage Edition for my Genesis. Sure they're nothing special, especially next to Goemon, but they've got a soft spot in m'heart 'cause I used to play them at friends' houses back as a kid. Plus I find 'em fun anyway and that's all that matters. Heh.
