Long nosed goblin..good score there MG. A very fine pce shooter with a great deal of that 'just one more go' factor. Not as good as Magical Chase, but few games are tbh.
Re Shubi...I think the idea that 2 is the best in part stems from reviews of the time, and more recently the Edge retro special. TBH all shubi games are worth a play and are pretty equal in quality gameplay imo. I find it hard to pick a fav personally.

Yeah quite, I always thought 2 was the best, tho it were the first one I played when i were 13, itr were great for the time hehe. Cant go wrong with that box art.
I have a 3 for sale actually, its a "bigger" game, but 2 will always be the one in my ro romantic heart.
Oh yeah 2 has shootem up levels & great music. You can do something funny where you can control both characters at once shooting round the screen in big balls of flame, might have something o do with the 2 player adaptor or something, i forget.

What's a good price for Magical Chase? I can only find 2 places and they seem to be charging over the odds.

Well there are 2 pce versions of Magical Chase (I'll ignore the tg version as its US and very pricey)..exact same game in each, but one is the original release (black lhs and normal sticker on the rear of the case), the other the pce fan rerelease (white lhs and pce fan sticker on the case).
Both are the same price and I'd say ?40-50 for a nice near mint to mint copy would be a good price (but as with all pce stuff good condition really does up the price). That's what I paid for my copies anyway. A sealed copy will run much more though.
Also worth noting, the pce fan release came with a letter (similar to darius alpha), so if you are (like me) a fusspot then be prepared to pay a lot more as the letter seems to be rare as hell (I've seen more DA letters than MC letters). I paid about ?120 for a sealed fan version and letter (which I consider to be a jolly good price)
Edit: Oh I forgot..I have a spare fan version for trade/sale tooLast edited by wheelaa; 08-02-2006, 15:26.

Nothing that special, but I did get these this week.
Final Fantasy VII NTSC-U
Final Fantasy VIII NTSC-U
Final Fantasy IX NTSC-U
I'm going through the slow process of replacing my PAL games with NTSC ones, and giving the PAL ones to my little brother who has a similar taste in games to me, but isn't so fussy about PAL/NTSC, and I'd rather him not actually touch my games more than necessary anyway!
Cool thing - Noticed FF8 and FF9 have Dolby Surround!! How cool is that? It's fully compatible with the Pro Logic II capabilties of my Z-5500 5.1 speakers tooTop stuff.
Also got this -
Super Street Fighter II Turbo - PC Floppy version!
Doesn't work under XP, even with VDMSound... get some wierd DMPI32 error.
8 discs o.o I'd of preferred the CD-Rom version though, as it has cool redbook audio that's even better than the 3DO version. In fact, the music in the PCCD version is probably the best SF2 music ever.

More marty goodness for me to enjoy
Ku2 is a pretty solid shooter..well actually 2 shooters. You choose between serious (ie normal space vert shooter), or comical (ie more parodius than gradius..I mean the first boss is flying hamburger). Rather than have regular side ships or smart bombs, your ship has these 2 cone shaped objects that hoover up enemies if you position it right. You then fire the enemies backout in a range of devastating attacks. Quality fun.
