Yeah pretty cool game. I like the background with the huge clock that displays the real time.

Just bought some pretty cool stuff - Bio Hazard Battle (MD, ?2.95 boxed plus instructions), Tobal No1 (PSone, complete, ?3.00) and a couple of rumble pack things for my DC (quid each).

I hope you enjoy Biohazard Battle, it's one of my favourite MD games.

A true masterpiece, I could play it everyday!

            This weeks haul

Android Assault-I've had Bari-Arm for some time (about 2 years) and have never been able to play it due to it not liking the UK Mega-CD system even with the CDX cart (my Jap one gave up the ghost a few years back).

Bangai-o-As a big fan of the DC version i thought i owed it to myself to buy what is usually called the 'superior' version. Decent price too, around ?25 inc shipping.

Chiki-Chiki Boys-Another one of Sega's reprogrammed Capcom games. Whilst not the best game ever it's still bright and fun and a steal at ?4.

Suikoden-Bit of a barg at ?25, just a shame the NTSC ver has some of the worst cover art ever. Strange they kept the original for the manual cover. I think i'll scan a copy of it and cover the monstrosity up.

Konami Arcade Classics-This came today so i haven't had a chance to try it out yet. Some nice games that i was mad over on the speccy and in the arcade. Yie Ar Kung-fu, Scramble (always forget this was Konami prob due to the many tributes that appeared), Gyruss, Time Pilot, Shao-lin's Road and some others that i never played or didn't get into-Pooyan, Circus Charlie, Roc 'N Rope, Road Fighter and Super Cobra (looks like Scramble but with a Chopper). Bargain at ?6 really.

I just passed up on a copy of PAL SNES Secret of Mana in my local Gamestation. Yes, I know, it's a fantastic game, but buggered if I'm paying 60 quid for it!

Sounds good to me! All the games are before my time, but Yie Ar Kung Fu is a real gem; one of my fave mame games.

Yeah, my boss officially thinks I am insane now, having seen me unpack this lot on my desk in the lunchbreak ...

Am truly looking forward to this evening. Will be sitting out in my garage, with hopefully some sun still around, cracking open a frosty cool lager, and having a go on what I hear is a wicked game. Both kingston and duddy have recommended it, so must be good.

Also, by the sounds of it, my Ikaruga and Street Fighter 3rd Strike have arrived. I am in nerdy gaming heaven!

Corrrr, those JPN MD games look lovely, the covers are just so much better than those released anywhere else. The Metal Fangs one really interests me, never seen that before, looks like a great game and even if it is not, the detail of the artwork really draws the punter in and makes you want to pick it up and have a look.

Surely that's the idea, attention grabbing covers and good marketing, I don't know how anything sold in this country with the covers we got...remember the PAL version of Strider? Some big fat bloke in tights and swept back hair!

Nice, that'll do it...where's did I put my wallet?

I went back to this new retro shop last weekend and bought Rainbow Islands for the Megadrive. It didn't include the manual, but it doesn't really matter. They also had 400 (!!!) Megadrive in the back. Still needed to clean and test them, but I'm going back soon to check it out. There must be something good among them.

Be cautious of 'Japanese' Megadrive games with no manual ... this can sometimes be an indication that it is a pirate. Of course, it's still a great game. And it may well be the genuine article, without a manual .. but it's always a reason to look closely!!

Street Fighter II: Turbo, Secret Of Mana, Super Return of The Jedi and Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 All Cart Only on the SNES all for ?15, not bad I think.
