There was a rash of Cosmic Smash on eBay a while ago from an HK seller - he was putting them out at $20 or so...

I think I paid ?30 for mine, but it was mint so I was chuffed at the time. I do love it so.

Why'd you wan't JP US Shenmue exactly? Just to complete the collection?
As its exactly the same as the two you already have.
The orginal (well the one without the CD isn't as common but) JP version is as common a chav in derby, you can pick it up anywhere for like 60p here so I can't see that being difficult for you.

It's definately rekindled my love for this game, hooked on Hang-on last night.

I definately prefer the 1st game to the 2nd, though! The graphics are still spot on and after living in Japan, you realise its ****ing spot on in regards to location and people.

If i caught anyone saying anything bad about this game, I'd poke them in eye with a big stick.

I've never seen US Shenmue at decent price... it was always around 4000 yen mark - way more than my usual price range. I'm still hunting till one day I will stumble across a mint copy at a good price... Yes it's to complete my collection really. After that I may need to pick up the launch promo stuff they gave away... I know there's a seller on YJ selling for 10000 yen but he initially offered for 7000 yen which I thought fat chance...

Yeah by the 60p Shenmue, i meant the first with the audio CD. I normally see the US version starting from 2000Y.

Yeah it needed to be more expansive, with a grander concept. It is a nice idea and looks cool, but with a bit more ambition it could of been something special.

Well .. I bit the bullet and bought myself a copy of Cosmic Smash for ?28 including postage. Not a steal, but definitely an improvement on paying out the ?45 or so that it seems to go for on ebay UK at the moment.

Perhaps it could have been better - but to be honest, I think it's pretty damn good as is, so I will have no regrets! (unless a huge batch appear for $20 apiece tomorrow! But even then, I guess I'd just pick up another copy or two and wait for the price to rise again when they run out )

Anyway .. I can also probably get a nice looking Japanese Castlevania Dracula X for the Playstation (with art book, spine card, registration card) from the guy for about the same price. Worth it?

Go to the instructions...on a page near the back you have a soldier with a needle in his arm (or something like that)...it is on the right hand side as you look at it (ie an odd numbered page in a normal book). Now look to the page on the left of this...if it is blank notes page then its 2nd run...if it isn't (ie has stuff on it, I forget what though) then its 1st

Got Marvel vs Capcom 2 on DC yesterday which I bought ages ago off ebay - finally arrived. Really fun - I would say probably prefer SFA3 or Capcom vs SNK 2, but it is still a great laugh. graphics are wicked, and there are some lovely touches in there as well - such as Jill and the red and green herbs, and Strider with the rotating satellite things - class. Music is very amusing and cheesy.
