SF2 on the MegaDrive plays very well although the SNES-Version
has richer colours and better sound. But therefore it comes with
the original Arcade intro that the SNES was missing.

But that's only for SF2! Super Street Fighter 2 is much better on
the MegaDrive! It has all the Sounds (kicks, blows, etc) in it that
the SNES doesn't which makes it much more fun to play.

Just got a small batch of PS1 stuff from Blockbuster for 99p a pop:

Three of the best games ever made, right there. Zombie Revenge is something I discovered fairly recently, but one of the most enjoyably mindless games ever. Souky is just plain mint, and CvsSPro is my favourite DC fighter in a joint tie with KOF Evo. People slag the 1st Capcom vs SNK but it is just so exciting and polished.

tbh I think Ragna sucks, but it was the only Saturn SNK game I missed, and its cheap. Music is ok tho.

The list wasn't complete, I totally forgot about Sega GT JP (with the wicked subtitle) and Fighting Vipers 2 (I don't know but.. 1 seems to be better?). I'm addicted to Sega GT atm, I think it rules... its not as demanding and slow as GT3 or smt.

Seany: PRO is my favorite Capcom Vs SNK too. I thought the first was kind of unfinished, and it was impossible to get lots o points (JP ver.). The 2nd was very good, but I am not too fond of 3d backgrounds and "that" music. So PRO takes best of both imo. Zombie Revenge is on my list of most underrated games ever (D2's on here too). I hated ZR at first (when it was fairly new), practiced it with Arcade stick and found it to be the best beat em up on the system, many times better than Dynamite Cop.

Some recent acquisitions

A few GB and GBC games. Pity the box for Super RC Pro Am is damaged, but it's a great game, anyway. Delighted to get hold of an unused Gameboy Light in, of all places, Aldershot! I live only twenty minutes from Akihabara by train but I had to go to Aldershot to get a Japan-only console!

Also a few panorama Game and Watches.

Finally, not exactly the cutting edge of retro, but a sadly-unboxed Gizmondo for my handheld collection.
