Apart from Magical Chase not familiar with any of the above - can you give a quick rundown of what the other games are about? Is that a cooking game??

Yakitori Musume and Ore no Ryori are cooking games.
Paro Wars I haven't tried yet, but I gather it's a Parodius - based strategy game. I love the Parodius series and I've been looking for this for a while.
Suzuki Bakuhatsu is a bomb defusing game, said to be very good from what I've read (on this forum).

I do already own the game twice on PS1 anyway, so it wouldn't matter to me if I didn't ever pick this up anyway because at the end of the day I buy my games to play on them not to just look good in my collection. The remake is the much better game anyway, but I'm not saying it wouldn't be like a nice cherry on top of the collection though.Last edited by AdamJW; 20-01-2007, 09:48.

You either had to be one of the first 2000 people to register to get a copy. Thats why its expensive and rarely comes up because its already in the hands of those first 2000.
It came out in 2004 and hasn't been on Yahoo for the last 8/9 months maybe longer. Its never been on Ebay for the past 2 years and it only came out in 2004. It may have been on before that, but it will always be expensive and its a bit obvious, but its always going to be a highly sought after item to fans. If you've got a copy already you are extremely fortunate.
The majority of those who did get it though would have been fans already, so they are just reluctant to part with it. Hence highly inflated prices. I mean even the one I bought most recently has had an asking price in the 25000+yen bracket, and the one you've kindly found the pics of is much more sought after because of how it was made available.
Are you 100% sure it wasn't the famicom mini 'SD Gundam Gashapon Wars' GBA game you've seen on Yahoo because that crops up on Yahoo quite frequently and it has a very similar cover.
Also that Suparobo site you linked to is just the main Banpresto Suparobo website for information regarding the series. Its mainly just strictly info thing like availability and release dates. What little thats ever been for sale on there like official mechs, tee shirts, arty books and what have you are always linked to other online market places. I have used Rinkya to get things from the links within that site a fair bit, but alot of the time the things they offer have sold out, or are even out of season, but the adverts remain open. You can't buy SRW games there though.

You bought 2 of my most favourite ps1 games \(^_^)/

I didn't mean anything else by it (buying stuff and that). It is quite difficult to collect but I feel not as much as you make it out to be. I think I have seen the correct game 100%, you said it has not been on Yahoo for last 8/9 months but it's not true. If you look the are two for sale today.
That Gundam game from the second link you put up and said that there's only 2000 of is another completely different game entirely. Its actually 'Z Gundam Hot scramble'. That one isn't even part of the Super Robot Taisen series, and is a Nes game based on the Z Gundam series. I didn't spot that last night because it was late on but the second link in your post is a completely different game entirely.
The one from the Suparobo page is that game and thanks for the pictures, but that is not on yahoo today. The ones on Yahoo are those Gundam games I mentioned and are from a different series to Super Robot Taisen. They are also completely different styles of game. Its one of those from your second link and SD Gundam Gashapon Senki that are the ones that are on Yahoo today.
You are even starting to confuse me now because those games in your original links are two totally different games. The Suparobo link one is the one I'm looking for but I already know what it looks like and visit that site regularly. Believe me its not been on yahoo in a while let alone ebay. The second game in your link is not even the same game.
There are a few Gundam games aswell as Super Robot Taisen 2nd that have been made to 'famicom minis'. They all look quite similar but are actually totally different games, and if you have seen something different to me, even still now with this in mind. Then I'd appreciate it if you could provide the links to where you think you've seen the SRW famicom mini game as I'd be on it like a shot. Cheers.Last edited by AdamJW; 20-01-2007, 13:23.

By the way, in various shops' display cabinets I've seen what might be another Super Famicom cooking game. I haven't been able to examine it closely, but it has Gourmet (in Katakana) in the title. The box art is a very busty cartoon woman surrounded by plates of food. Any idea what I'm talking about?

Thanks for that - there's nothing more annoying than getting what looks like a cooking game only to find that there's very little actual food preparation in it. Burger Burger 2 was like that. Think I'll pass on GSBY.
I've got Wonder Kitchen. It's fun when you actually get to the kitchen and start cooking isn't it?

It does take a bit of getting used to though, but on the whole its another pretty decent bit of kit from hori. Its pretty good for Disgaea and it works on the PS1. The only snag is the wire is a bit short, but thats easily solved.

The soft reset button could get annoying surely? I can imagine how furious i'd be if I pressed it by accident after having done some long romp through the item world in Disgaea.
Mind you a soft reset/quick re-load is something I think would be quite welcome on Disgaea 2 though. *Spoilers*
Especially for when you go into the item world and things don't go in your favour. Like when you want those 'Teachers' and 'Mediator' residents to appear for when you are marrying two residents, or even just the item fortune teller.
I always thought it what was lacking from Disgaea because the style of play on these games does dictate you need to do it from time to time.
Anyway because of how you put your hand and grip the pad means you can't reach the soft reset button accidently. The only way would be if you've got really long fingers. When I hold my hand on the pad and put my fingers straight out they don't quite reach the button anyway, so its not really a worry.
