Yakumo, is that Love Hina game the same as the other Love Hina on Dreamcast, just in different packaging? This particular anime series seems to have quite a few special packs

There are two DC lover Hina games. Smile again is the 2nd one. The special Edition of this game comes in a MASSIVE and I mean MASSIVE (must be a meter high!!) box with the cast set up in a wedding pose. The first game also has a Special Edition but I can't recall what that looks like. This one I have is err.... Well to be honest I have no idea. Maybe it's from the massive box set?

It's not a Net City, it's a Naomi universal (which will soon be cut down to a sit down with net city stickers)

Ah, I see. Looks like a Net City in a way. Still nice cabinet. Now I wonder how much one of those Linberg (sp?) cabinets would cost? The monitor on those babies is amazing!

Some new Japanese arrivals today and some minty US SNES titles picked up on the weekend. My copy of Super Shinobi has the Rambo soldiers in it, but didn't get far enough to see if Batman and Godzilla are in this version. Old school difficulty!

              Finds from the ghetto

              Last week I got

Sega Master System II with Official PSU, RF switch box, One pad, built in Alex Kidd and loose cart World Cup Italia 90 : ?2.00

Boxed Amiga 500, with boxed Competition Pro Joystick, all accessories leads etc and a stack of boxed games, yellowed but should work okay etc and some reasonable games : ?8.00

MINTY boxed Commodore C64C - really one of the best I have ever found, all accessories etc only missing the manual of which I have a spare, if it wasnt for the rip to the top of the large box it would be like new.. smaller box inside is MINT MINT, and its got all of the "checked by xx at factory" cards. Plus inside box were two nice condition Atari 2600 joysticks, about 4 seperate games and a KCS Power Cartridge : ?8.00

Boxed Philips Cassette Recorder (the type with Mic and Ear) - for use with Spectrum. Bit pricey at ?4.50 but hard to come by.

One non-games related item in the pictures too.. but its RETRO.. Hitachi TRK-9150E Ghetto Blaster, bought for the princely sum of ?2.00 couple of buttons need attention, need to fix the tape deck but that shouldnt be a problem, and it needs the speakers hoovering and volume dials cleaning inside (a little crackling when changing volume) sounds like a million dollars though and built like a tank.

              Heres the pics!

Apparently Beavis And Butthead for the PAL MD arrived at my house today. Only three more blue box games to go for those counting.

Gran Turismo 2, 99p from GAME - it's the Platinum Ed. so it doesn't have the scratch n' sniff discs with the oil and rubber smell

I've been trying to resist the urge to buy a Japanese Megadrive and seeing that post hasn't helped.

It's a real beauty though. Top games selection too.
Well I managed to hold out for 4 months.

                    These two arrived today.

                    Daimakaimura

                    Arrow Flash

And a 3 button joypad that I retrieved from my loft.

Now I just have to patiently await the arrival of my untested MD, it's boxed and comes with the manual but has no a/v leads, psu or joypads. I'm hoping to get lucky.

OOh, how come your MD pad has a red start button? I've never seen one like that.

I think it's from the version 2 Megadrive

Must be the PAL MD2 because my PAL MD1 had a white button from what I remember.

Was/is there an HK MD? I'm asking because mine has a blue start button and the Sonic I got with it seems to be the JP/HK version (has kanji on it). I know when I got it for Xmas all those years ago, my dad knew a guy who ran an import/rental store and I think he got it from him.
IIRC (will need to go look), my Sonic 3 and Ecco were Genesis games - would Genesis games work on a JP/HK MD or am I just imagining this?
