Well it states on the back of the case that it "Contains material from the PC version of War of the Worlds"

So I am guessing it is probably a port somewhat.

        Some info from Wikipedia:

Apparently, "Jeff Wayne himself produced the musical arrangements for the game, consisting of 45 minutes of material from Jeff Wayne's Musical Version of The War of the Worlds re-scored and remixed in a newer electronica style with techno beats."

Probably similar to the ULLAdubULLA Remix work I imagine.

The game play is very average, but the music is indeed very awesome.
In fact, the music takes up 63% of the disc space (With movies taking up 30% of the space and the rest would be what I assume, game data)

Nice find on that Multi Mega. I'm currently selling my PAL one because my RGB monitor kicked the dust so now I can't play it because my TV is NTSC.

And two SFC fighting games i've been wanting to buy for ages.
Fighters History Mizoguchi kiki ippatsu. (basically the snes [watered down] version of fighters history dynamite) and Gundam Wing Endless Duel.
                  Both great fighting games.

I won a UK SNES in fairly good condition from a local seller for ?5.60, yesterday. Sadly, it appears to be dead (will try replacing the internal fuse when I get the parts I need), but it's still an amazing price - all parts included! I've seen SNES after SNES go for a minimum of ?20 in the last week, so I'm very happy.

Will post a picture when I've modified it/determined its cause of death.

Got a battered cart only PAL Snes Illusion Of Time for a quid on a car boot yesterday, cleaned up nicely and looks good in 60hz on my modded SFC, should've offered the guy 50p!

I had a similar problem with a brand new one that had been sitting in the box for the last twelve years or so. If the power light works, then leave it plugged in and running and watch regular TV. Reset it every hour, sometimes it magically comes back to life.

This was the first Super Famicom game I ever owned, personally I still regard it as one of the finest home console racers ever made. The visuals are a bit sparse today but the presentation and music are amazing - the soundtrack to this game is beyond awesome.

I also managed to pick up the sequel recently for peanuts off eBay, never played it before though, and I seem to recall it getting dodgy reviews back in the day.

Mean Machine's review of the original is what inspired me to get it all those years ago.
