previously I've always opened all the sealed games that I've bought but on a few certain titles I've regretted that I did.

Heh, I regretted opening a sealed game once, too. The game was Strider for the PCE Arcade. It was such a shat port I had to sell the game on for about ?25 less than what I paid for it

Mmm lovely. I've wanted one of these for a while now to complete the megadrive trilogy. What other games are you planning to add to that bundle? Are the japanese 32x cardboard like PAL ones?

I'll probably go for a full set as theres only 18 releases as far as I know, and theres also no hugely expensive games on the JPN system, think Stellar Assault is the only one to be considered pricey at around ?30-40.

The cardboard casing inside looks a bit cheap when compared to the PAL games, looks more like something you'd put your chips in. Still don't understand why Sega never went with Megadrive style cases.

I've been contemplating getting Art of Fighting for a couple of weeks now, will have to at some point. I was playing OutRun on Wednesday night, still stands up even now, I do play with the engine note off most of the time though.

Power Drift gets slated for looking turd but I like it even more than OutRun, looks really good when shrunk to the PCE GT's screen. Burnt out many sets of Alkalines with that one game in it.

I had two arrivals today, which I finally, finally got around to buying.

I have R-Type Complete (Super CD-Rom), which introduces storyline cutscenes and has a remixed soundtrack which I never really got into. For me this version looks, sounds like and play like the version I remember sinking my 20p's into in my younger days.



Jackie Chan's Action Kung Fu



Smashing action platformer, excellent characterisation and some nice graphical touches like going behind crystal pillars and seeing the silhouetted figures duking it out.

The blue sticker on the manual was bothering me as one corner was slightly lifted. I removed it which left a mess of glue and paper. Fortunately the glue was the non destrucive type and after gently rubbing the glue my with finger till it was warm enough to remove, I got that mess off.

Few more new arrivals this morning. The lost sunheart is a brilliant, and criminally overlooked little shooter. Bloody wolf is an uber mint replacement for a sunfaded copy. Never played fray before, but heard good things.

I got a copy of The Lost Sunheart too, I really like the art direction in it. Also got a copy of Fray here, except mine is sans spine and reg card. I think I've only fired it up to test it, gonna have to dig it out now and give it a proper play test.
