That Master System is in awesome condition - it's a shame charity shops can't sell electrical goods anymore cos they used to be a treasure trove of stuff.

I'm selling the same Master System in not as good nick on ebay at the moment and it's already going for ?30+ with a few days left...so that's probably the most sought after MS setup.

Nah, it's one of the more common ones.
Most desirable European bundle is probably the rare 3D "SuperSystem" set that included the light phaser & 3d Glasses and had Missile Defense 3D built-in, followed by the 1st-run 1986 systems that had no games built in (aside from the snail maze) and included the Hang On card as a pack-in (don't confuse this one with the other earlyish version that had Hang On built-in - the originals are much scarcer).

Oh, and is that why most of the charity shops I see don't sell console stuff... good thing there are some that still do

I always feel too embarrased to go into charity shops and sniff around old women to grab a bargain.
However i've picked up these few bits over the last couple of days.


Chocobo's Dungeon 2 for ?7, always wandered what it was like.


Brand new Zelda OOA for ?7 and Zelda DX for ?3 at my local indie.


New NTSC Legend of Dragoon for a fiver and i spashed out a tenner on Yossi. Just couldn't resist that loveable fizzog.

My addiction to MD RPG's is getting a little bit out of hand of late, haven't even managed to play most of these yet simply because they virtually all arrived on the same day ( with the exception of Shining Force II which I bought from LameStation a few weeks back ) but it's safe to say that LandStalker is my current favourite.

Heard loads of good stuff about this underrated title and I knew I had to have it. Currently on the Mercator section and so far the game has taken me through nearly every possible human emotion.

So playable, so addictive and yet so very frustrating too at times but ultimately very hard to put down, all the the elements of a classic.

I never realised, that is the Master System one I have....i actually felt bumped it has no built in game.

The last boxed 1st-run one I saw on eBay made about ?50-?60 - a fair chunk more than yer bog standard boxed SMS1. Then again, they can probably slip by on the quiet for a fair bit less.
They're only desirable boxed with the Hang On card & manual - loose units aren't really worth any more than any other model.
