?50 on eBay! Considering JP systems usually go for around ?40 without anything else, I thought I did quite well. And it came with a stepdown, which saves me swapping yet more leads over.

I had the highest bid but the reserve wasn't met, then the day after it ended the seller did me one of those '2nd chance offer' things

Car boot sale yesterday - got Sonic 3D and Double Dragon for MD - in very good condition - ?5 the pair. Also got a couple of PS1 games - Ghoul Panic (absolutely mint) for ?3, and Street Fighter EX2 Plus for ?2.

Also got a wicked Nastro Azzuro lager mirror for two quid to go in my gaming den.

Oh - and Strider - I live in Southampton dude but get down to Poole, Bournemouth etc quite a lot as my missus is from there, also Pokesdown and Boscombe are superb for 2nd hand shops. next time I am planning a trip down there then I will let you know!

Super Shinobi arrived over the weekend - thanks to Mezz off these very boards!

I've already got it on the Mega CD Arcade collection but somehow having the Japanese version feels even better.

Visited a local carboot yesterday but uncovered no gems, unless you consider getting David Bowie's 'Hours' album for ?2 as a bargain. To be honest the bad weather put a lot of people off this weekend. There was one chap selling retro titles but the prices he wanted were silly and the condition of his stuff was awful - he had a battered Master System II that he wanted a tenner for - it looked like he'd been carrying it around for years! He did had Sokaban on JAP MD for ?1.50 but it had no instructions and I already own it anyway.

Received mint US N64 copies of Zelda:OoT & Majora's Mask (inc. holographic label) over the weekend - ?18 the pair delivered.

Always have a look in there. In the past have picked up loads from them - got a boxed Shadowrun in there for ?4.95 once. The MD selection in there now is poor unfortunately, and the bloke who served me was a rude ****er - I asked him if they had any Neo Geo stuff in as I am after a controller - he said they had a console in so I thought I was in luck - he then pulled out a NGPC from under the counter. (meh).

The most retro-tastic bargain place down there is the Game Exchange. The chap who works in there is a real dude but stoned out of his mind. Have bagged some crazy bargains in there, including a Tetris Battle Gaiden on the SNES which was out for under a fiver.

I picked up Evolution 2, Ferrari F335 and GGX(with the cool tiny bonus CD) for a fiver yesterday. I dont particually like driving games but F335 is tits!! Lovin it but the music is absoloutely ****e tbh, I cant wait to give GG a good bash as well!

Curious that's all... got the US version at home, one of the most fun SNES games to play with a multitap

It's the PAL Mega Drive version that's rare. Not too sure about the JP MD version, but the Genesis/US SNES versions are pretty easy to find.
