Sorry for my retro lateness ! Was putting together 2 shelving units today for dvds&games, also yesterday was reviewing/ordering enough parts to build a pc (my first new pc in over 6 years lol!!).

Had to show the sheer size of the Arc the Lad guide 570+ pages, whereas Vanguard bandits guide is 200+. This guide is so big they have provided 4 ribbons for page marking !!

Other purchases this week are so far not retro, SC2 Hori arcade stick and a couple of other things.

Just had a phonecall from the wife - my Neo Geo has arrived in the post!! Boy do I not want to be at work now.

Popped home at lunch and had a blast on the Neo - absolutely awesome. Can't believe that I finally own one after all these years. My missus said I looked like a kid on Chirstmas morning when I was opening the box!

So far, the best of the games I have played is the beautiful Metal Slug, although Real Bout 2 looks quality as well.

Cannot wait to get home!!!

?20 for the saturn 30 for the master system, did i get a good deal? couldnt find any better. anyway, i await delivery of them (i dont even have any saturn games haha i just thought ?20 for a saturn was really cheap)

i have about ?50 left after selling my laptop and buying these + other things, anyone reccomend a good game for the saturn? i only want 1 or 2, but they have to be GOOD, and ALSO have great replayability (since im only getting 1-2 games for it right now i wanna make them last)

Hooked it up earlier today. Actually the RGB output is a bit crap, the TV contrast has to be upped to max and even then the picture is dark with a fair bit of noise.
AV works well, with a much better picture than the Famicom and similar cables. But then I hate using AV if there's an alternative.

Great looking console though, I'll see if someone can help me get the RGB output improved.

Yeah, the Mark III is annoyingly dark when using RGB. I'd also be interested to hear if there's any kind of fix for this (adding/removing capacitors on the SCART lead, maybe?).
If anything, playing SG1000 games through it is even worse - since the SG1000 & SG1000 II only have Japanese RF, the only way to get a 'proper' picture for SG1000 games outside of Japan is to play them on an SC3000.
