I need one of those beauties to complete my gameboy collection, Is that one boxed and may I ask how much you paid for it?

      Comment

It's unboxed sadly, but it's in pretty good nick and cost just over ?30 including postage, two batteries and a Japanese copy of Tetris, which isn't bad when you consider some of the examples currently up on eBay - some people are trying to sell the horrible, battered Game Boy Lights for ?40+.

and on that note it would be rude not to show what royal mail delivered at 8.28am this morning!!...

full set of Supergrafx titles, as much as I love hunting down the games, to buy a complete set up in one fell swoop at a good price just seemed too good an oportunity to pass up...

the behemoth of pc-engine consoles, although not as big as i was expecting

hori fighting stick thrown in for free, just needs a tickle up here and there and i'm laughing

and last but not least, my 4 year has been hogging it all morning, i've not had a sniff of the action yet!!

just need to figure where its gonna fit now

tell me about it, think he's seen me playing games so he naturally took an interest, its frightening how quick he picks it up, he's got a DS [my original release jap one] and he's great on New Super Mario Bros, so to nurture his love for games i've got him a snes for xmas and a few must have carts, SFII, Mario Kart, Super Marioworld and star wing.... at least he'll know where he's coming from when it comes to gaming, not straight into the current gen of games...

It really pleases me that kids of today find consoles from 20 years ago entertaining. I honestly think that gaming has gone "too mature" with its games...kids don't want GTA, they want simple, fun 2D stuff. God bless you mate, keep up the good work!

Hey Duddy, I've noticed you lurking about the Wiz boards lately. Any chance of opening up a thread here and giving us NTSC-UKers some musings on its performance?

Just picked up a copy of this amazing game myself, never seen it be till you posted here, been playing it all weekend.

Best Oblivion style RPG on the PS2 I've played and the story and character development is brillant, now this really is a hidden gem on the PS2.

Shame the sequel is Japan only but that's one for the import list I guess.

Nice one chojin, good to see all that collection staying together, and it all looks in very good nick indeed as you'd expect from ikobo_1.

Love the shot of your boy playing Daimakaimura, he's going to have proper gaming legacy to look forward to.

Oh and about the placement of the SuperGrafx make sure you leave plenty of room behind it for the Super CD-RomRom unit to go.

Brilliant Chojin, the picture of your lad playing the supergrafx is class. Imagine if a four year old could clock daimakaimura!!!!! I suppose the Mrs definitely can't complain if it's for you AND the wee man!

By the way, hows the picture quality on your LCD? I'd love to find a flat screen that could give a decent picture from retro consoles.

...and I'd love to get a BJ off Heather Brooke but sometimes we just have to face up to the fact that some things are just not going to happen!

I've been looking at a few vids and they've convinced me to get a Wiz. That screen looks amazing so I hope that other developers follow Notaz in eliminating the screen-tearing from their emulators.

Here's my 'new' 28" telly for retro games. It's the old set from my parents house, but it broke and they got an LCD. Just needed a few new capacitors to get it up and running again.
It actually has the same CRT as a Hantarex Polo monitor, so naturally ideal for gaming. I actually used to play SNES and MD on it back in the early 90's. Even back then, nothing lower than RGB SCART if I could help it. I'm such a snob!
