to be fair, it looks better in the photo than in real life, ideally i'd like to get another gba to rip apart for it. and trying to do anything and not get dust in the screen setup is a major pain

I think you've put me and Adam to shame by being a little bit more professional about it. I tried to do a second one the other day, but after I put it all back together, nothing happened, so I took it apart again and resoldered it, then it worked, but then after I put all the screws back in, it was dead again! I've realised my soldering iron is a piece of crap. It was the cheapest one I could find (£5 from Maplins) and it just isn't hot enough to melt the solder most of the time!Comment

Check that the iron tip is all the way down inside the iron, unscrewing and rescrewing the screw if need be. I couldn't melt with my eBay one at first because it was too far from the heat.Comment

I think it might also be because it now has a fine coating of plastic from when I used it to melt part of the GBC case.Comment

Oh man, I just checked it and it was MILES away from the where it should be. Will open up the GBC one more time and see if I can fix it with this. Thanks pat

it was manufactured and and ready for UK shelves but was pulled for the various well documented reasons. I believe this happened a day before launch. Hence, cases of them show up every now and then but very rare.Comment

The ones that usually show up though are the French/European insert versions though. The English text on the back is the cancelled one IIRC.Comment

My understanding was this was canceled by SCEE when they where going to release it. So I wonder if 505 Street picked it up at a later date, as a limit release of a 505 street game doesn't surprised me.
