Well the famicom one is a dual kit as you can solder either a famicom/nes pad to it or a snes/sfc pad you just use the appropriate wiring schematic on the retro usb site. Windows recognises it fine & it works in most emulators i have tried, the only thing i have noticed is theres less height clearance inside a famicom pad compared to a nes one so you need to get it carefully lined up inside. I put some tape over the chip to protect it a bit as i screwed the backplate back on.

Only Europe really did get the full joys of RGB gaming and I think you have the French to thank for that.

XRGB series that will take a 21 pin RGB signal and send it to the TV via another input such as VGA or D-Terminal ( basically like component).

As You say it's finding games at a price you're willing to pay, Last Blade is next on my list as its only around the ?90-100 mark, I'm contemplating getting a converter at some point and playing the mvs versions just do I can get a taste of what's out there before I blow a wad on titles

Something for the Super Familien-Computer!
(outer box also included)
And some chinese Game Boy Color "pirate originals":
(Shin Sangokumusou, Shin Sangokumusou 2 and Castlevania DX)
The two Shin Sangokumusou games are actually not that bad!
They're both sidescrolling beat 'em ups with nice graphics, decent sound and most important: They're actually fun to play
They're also known under a variety of different names like San Goku Shi: Act C or True Thre Kingdoms.
Castlevania DX on the other hand is just awful! It got clumsy controls, boring graphics and the sound effects and music are ripped straight from Castlevania II: Belmont's Revenge. Also it's just one small area. After you defeat the first boss and find the exit, the game throws you back to the title screen. More of a demo, actually.
But hey - I was curious and the two Sangokumusou games are nice enough so yeah
