Good lord. Do you have dirty pictures of NEO collectors waiting to hit the Internet or something?

    My comparatively meagre contribution:

First VB game I've bought since the 90s, but I had no idea that Hudson had released a shooting game for the system until recently. Better stock up on the batteries over the summer.

If I remember rightly, wasn't that really like the PC-Engine star soldier games? I owned a VB about 10 years ago and only vaguely remember the games. I used to play it lay flat out with the visor on my face and the stand legs balancing it out on my chest. Wasn't how it was intended, but worked a treat!

Very similar gameplay, but the ship sprite appears to be bigger than usual- possibly to compensate for the poor visibility! I used to play my VB like that too- I wanted the weird strap listed as forthcoming in the brochure but I don't think that it ever got released.

Post number 2 for my Dreamcast collection revival. This is about 85% of my inital splurge. There's a few bits left to come, but once they arrive, the pace slows down to one or two items a month (he says).

Still got some pretty exciting bits to arrive over the net week, but then it's time for a cool off period and to actually enjoy playing some of this stuff again

Vertical Force didn't really take with me, Red Alarm was so much more impressive with it's into-the-screen viewpoint. I should break out the VB sometime, I've still not played Wario Land VB that my now ex-wife bought me for my birthday in 2006.

I really liked Red Alarm too, it was the second game I got after the Mario Tennis pack-in. My dad and I were big fans of Starfox so it was a natural choice, and I remember being amused by the little stick figures running around. I'm looking forward to playing Vertical Force though, as I have an increasing interest in that type of shooter since getting the Solider Collection on PSP and investing in a PC Engine.

I still can't believe that I picked up a brand new VB and two games from Gameplay for about ?70 back then. I even bought Teleroboxer from the CEX retro shop in the West End... imagine trying to find something like that now!

Just picked up a PAL copy of Symphony of the Night at the car boot for ?1.

Now my only dilemma is whether to sell it, or keep one of my top three games of all time!

                        Oh blimey, don't tell Ikobo!

It's OK though, a recent review I read didn't rate it very highly. Here it is in full:

I have buyers remorse after reading that review

Funny how this thread goes through little phases... everyone will be re-buying PCE stuff in a few weeks.
