There is a local site jumbletown.ie where ppl give away stuff they don't want, can be anything, sometimes consoles come up, so last night a woman put up the SNES, I rang her, she said she would give me some games as well , I nearly fell over when she gave them to me,

I've picked up a Dreamcast, C64, gameboy and N64 over the last year there too

I apologise for the amount of photos, its just been a fantastic few weeks!

Why a photo for this game? This was the last MD game needed for the PAL set
And just as a note, to anyone who thinks Madden 97 is common, youre incredibly wrong! This has been the hardest game for me to track down!
(Well, apart from this one: http://forum.sega16bit.com/index.php?topic=308.0)

Okay, Boot Sale finds from this weekend!

Large Lot of NES and SMS stuff from the same seller! Already got all the SMS Games, but a few manuals i needed were included Same goes for manuals and boxes for NES games!

Also off the same guy. He was clearing out all his Retro stuff!
It was nice to find a device like the Pro Fighter in the wild

Another ex-ebayer (now running a car boot stall) brought some JAP DC Games along. I got these three for £10

And finally, a few online buys

      A Game Gear flash cart!

And after talking so much about this game, I decided to finally go after it!
Shame i dont have a Famicom Disk System

I did wonder about that after, actually. I'm not sure whether "bastard" really deserves the masculine connotations it has. I presume you can have a bastard daughter?

          Thank-you.

These are just perfect for the Megadrive cases and with a bit of folding and tape at the bottom end just about work with SFC boxes. One day I'll try the slimline DVD case wrappers as they might be a better fit for the SFC boxes.

Then these ones are your bog standard CD wrappers. Four the double CD jewel cases I used the DVD wrapper which fits well enough.

Rosey and Cauterize what fantastic hauls you both got.

Just a couple of new games today and yesterday. I've quickly learned that I used to be a lot better at playing these the first time around - finding them a lot harder nowadays!

I haven't tried Super Shinobi II yet, but looks like it's a dodgy copy, they were all picked up relatively cheap though due to the condition not being perfect, fine to play though

Modified my UK SNES today, with the region lock and 60Hz switches.

Below, right, you can see DKC has refused to play in 60Hz mode. Luckily (thanks to hellbelly's advice, and a couple of now-standard break-before-make switches) you can simply start in 50Hz and switch over after the check is complete.

Above is a PAL copy of DKC running in 60Hz.

I also tested the region lock switch with the hood up, and thankfully it works! Interestingly, my copy of MegaMan X advised me that it was not confirmed to work on non-US consoles. Bizarre that they should bother, given how unlikely it is to run a game on a modified console. Perhaps it did this on dev units, too?

Sadly not RGB - sorry to disappoint! If anyone is after a UK SNES with mods, let me know, because I'm probably going to stick with my US unit.

Why does them modded pal machines not do RGB when flicked to 60HZ?

I don't know if it does or it doesn't, but I just don't have an RGB cable with the resistors (or is it capacitors?) removed. I'm using a standard GC cable on my US machine.
