Hey Yakumo, could you tell me if Alshark is hard to obtain? I've been after it for a while but it never seems to crop up on eBay, and from what I've read on various forums no-one seems to meantion that it is rare. Is it just a case of being rare outside Japan?

Hehe, I was merely making a jestful remark. The prices people pay for sealed stuff is crazy. I mean, I know of somewhere selling a sealed copy of Shadowrun for ?100 and that is much more uber-rare than a common-as-muck PAL game such as Keio.

No, it's not rare at all. You can get it in most shops over here that sell Mega CD games or even on Yahoo Auctions.

Hmm, a local video store up in the country near my dad had put out some new ex-rental games for sale.

$4.95 each for the SNES carts.
          $10 for the Sega Saturn.
          $5 for Ace Combat, complete.

No pics but my Saturn just arrived form Lurch.
Picked up Actua Golf and Sega Woldwide Soccer 98 for 99 pence each from my Indie.

Scouring web for more games + a way to play imports now!
Came with 4 pads so rather desperate for Bomberman!

              My latest pile of crap

Thanks to bort for the stack of pokemon n64 games. Just need puzzle league now I think.
Very impressed with the NGPC, which I'd never had before. I think I dismissed it out of hand because it seemed to be inundated with ****ty slot machine games, and I'm not really into SNK fighters either. I got it mostly for Sonic, seeing as it's supposed to be the best handheld Sonic available. It doesn't dissappoint. I will also be keeping my eyes peeled for neo poke kun, and some other rarities. Although it's actually making me want to get a game gear again, more than anything.

Ten points to anyone who can spot the tiny, but precious item I managed to get for absolutely free, thanks to a fellow ntsc-uk member.

*the 12 hour lord of the rings marathon, for those interested, was exhausting, yet strangely tolerable. I also didn't make the same mistake as with my star wars marathon; that of starting at about 8 in the evening.

Ten points to Jaz! Didn't think I'd ever get hold of one. I was ecstatic when I got my grubby hands on it.

@ben, the gameboy games are the stranded kids you pointed me to (which I only got hold of today, due to cock-ups made by the cocks at my post office, not leaving a red slip and then sending it back), and konami krazy racers, which is a fun game and I enjoyed it immensely, unlocking the secret characters, but most of the challenges are just too hard.

That Billy Hatcher is a case full of joy. Loved that game.

Gawd I adored that magazine back in the day. I too got a pin badge and I've kept it and the letter I got with it too! It's somewhere in my wardrobe! Is it rare or is it just to show we're flipping cool dudes?

Well I imagined that people would be loathe to part with them, thus making them rare. They can't have made too many of them anyway I don't think. I wish I'd got one at the time and had a letter in the magazine. There's nothing like that around anymore.

Some great stuff in that bundle youve got there. I really do envy the fact you studied Japanese sometimes. No doubt you have access to so many games the majority of us will never understand...

Marcus, this photo is for you. Dont die of shock...

Bought this little lot today for £50

Where'd you get all that Adam? I was thinking of starting a complete nintendo dragon quest collection starting with the famicom, but I could only find knackered up copies of the early ones floating around akihabara. I think Yamatoku has them up quite often, maybe I will just bite the bullet and buy them all from him...
What's with the Japanese stuff anyway Ad?

Meh ive recently caught on with Dragon Quest. Really fallen in love with it!
So I just decided to go for it when I saw it really. Also Vortex had such cooler artwork than the PAL version!

Im suprised you cant find decent copies of DQ in Japan. I thought they all threw sickies over there when the next DQ game came out. Surely it isnt too hard to find?
