There are loads of amazing games on the monochrome GB. Castlevania II: Belmont's Revenge, Zelda: Link's Awakening, Balloon Kid, Probotector (and Probotector 2, which is a surprisingly close copy of the SNES Contra III/Super Probotector), Double Dragon, Gradius, Gradius II, Tiny Toon Adventures...because the developers were working with such crude hardware, many of them rose to the challenge and created some amazing games.

It always amazes me what the GB could achieve. For a good example just spend sometime playing Super Mario Land 1 and then 2 to see how many boundaries they must have broken.

Probotector 2 is really amazing. It was ported by Factor 5 and is just as playable as the SNES Super Probotector/Contra III.

Part of the reason I bought the Jag bundle I did is because the seller had the rotary controller already...

As for something retro from me, well anyone who read 8-bit magazines in the 80s should recognise who produced these pieces...

Technically, through Roger Kean. Their sale is (to a degree) my gain... although part of me wishes they didn't have to sell them though (I suspect it might have something to do with the recent liquidation of Thalamus Publishing).
