Yeah, the black ones will work on a B&W GB.

Gameboy is the business. Probotector 2 is ambitious, but actually a pretty damned good attempt at a Contra 3 port.
Space Invaders is spot-on. It's the arcade game in photo negative. Plays exactly as it should.
Batman is a neat platformer with a tiny little mini-batman sprite. By having the sprite so small you can see more of the level. I can't remember playing this too much, but recall beating the Jack/Joker at the end of the 1st level.
Golf is a classic - but you need the manual nearby to know how far the clubs hit the ball. It's not displayed on screen!

Thanks Chojin for your nice comment about my Engines and for getting this thread back on track There's a couple of briefacse set-ups on eBay at the moment.

The only two games I'll be posting this week, I think. Valis III & IV.

That rounds out that little collection of titles.

I'm afraid it's me again, my gamer condition DUO monitor has arrived, fair price for what it is, the actual display is pretty good, only one lit pixel. The image seems shifted slightly high and the very top few lines have a bit of a bend on them. Perhaps serviceable from the inside? Plenty of options for volume, brightness, colour and contrast elctronically controlled. There's a radial dial for Hue control, TV tuner in built with UHF and VHF and a retractable aerial, not tried it as I don't expect to find a signal. The inbuilt speaker is mono but it does provide a pretty meaty sound for what is effectively a flat panel speaker. There must have been a lot of advanced stuff crammed into these given that they came out in September 1991.

This little DUO monitor has seen plenty of action.

I had one of those back in the day. A great little item. All you need now is the vibration cushion.
                  Kept you waiting, huh?

Very pleased considering the amount of uncommon/semi rare titles in there. Plus Daytona 2001 and Fighting Vipers 2 cover the price tag alone
                        Is Daytona 2001 rare ?

                          Cheers chaps!

Got it from Adol, he listed earlier on the same day that I stumbled onto it. Known about them for ages but always thought they'd stay out of reach because of the usual high asking prices. I paid €199.00/£173.00 before shipping so I knew it was going to be on the worn side. The screen is where it's at though and that's fine.

The Hong Kong seller Noel is also selling them one went cheaper and unboxed and there is a supposedly new one still ongoing at the moment, but as far as I'm concerned the jury is still out on him.

I have a nice unboxed DUO incoming from Japan to match up with the monitor, that's likely to get here some time after the bank holiday and probably with some customs charges.

I seem to have a hardware fetish at the moment, still it does mean I can go through some of my back catalogue of games again.

I remember in the days when I just to lurk on these boards wheela posted some truely minty PCE stuff including a lovely DUO monitor. Helped sow the seed that did.

Continuing the PCE love (sorry, nintastic): I finally have a Core Grafx II, courtesy of SuperDanX- just what I was after, too. Just waiting for PC Genjin, Neutopia and R-Type I to arrive so I can play one properly for the first time. Exciting!

Both Star Wars games were only $7, both complete.

MGS Twin Snakes was $7 at my local Cash Converters, complete of course

The Tomb Raider set was $20
