You might need a compatible SCART lead for your Saturn. Or this mod. http://www.mmmonkey.co.uk/console/sega/ntsc-saturn-scart.htm

Sounds like your second SCART socket is actually Composite/S-Video instead of being RGB like the first socket. If you tried a Dreamcast or a Sony console via RGB I'm sure they would display fine.

Also, you should notice that the image is much sharper on the Cube when plugged into SCART1. Although third party cables RGB image isn't that great so that's something to factor in, better than the composite signal you'd get from the 2nd SCART socket though.

Maybe it's my cable then. Can't even remember where it's from - had it since forever with my old PAL Saturn, which is now modded and displays fine on the same TV in JP 60hz mode. You're right about the 2nd SCART socket too - very poor quality picture with certain consoles. Still, I'll probably get the Trinitron if I can - the Toshiba set I have is pretty old, the sound is rubbish and I don't have the proper remote for it.

There used to be someone on eBay that sold NTSC Saturn cables, but it appears they're not there anymore.

http://www.consolegoods.co.uk/ sell RGB cables that are wired to work with either pal or ntsc saturns. Not tried one, but it might be worth a shot?

The guy I'm talking about sold separate cables.

            Those consolegoods ones might work.

Took a risk on a megadrive lot - blurry picture, no details of condition and no titles listed, but at only around ?2 each I thought it was a risk worth taking.

Judging from the retrocollect database it looks like the risk was worth it

That's a great collection of platformers. You've done really well

(Wily Wars is worth a few bob!)

Some of those must be worth some money as I have never seen a boxed Bubble & Squeek, Aero the Acrobat 2 and Toki.
What is that Zero game though?

Stinker of the lot has to be Greendog. Awful game! I would have given you my copy for free lol.

This one arrived. Waiting for my Retrode so I can safely backup all my N64 carts.

That one's probably very useful given how ropey N64 emulation often is.

Yeah, also means I only need one N64 as the cart makes the machine region free. A nice bonus it also plays NES games, with a built in emu. Just for fun I guess!

It was the NES game emu that got me curious, tempted as a way to play them on a machine that supports RGB

There's NES emus for loads of consoles, lol.

I agree though, I don't care for NES due to no RGB.

I've never really thought about it lol. I should brush up on Wii emulators I reckon and see what's what.
