    Today's package of goodies:-

I've been after Xcom for ages and i found this American one along with Syndicate on ebay.
Bust a Groove along with a bundle of 10 other games for ?20 (nothing much of note with the other games that it came with).
Klonoa Vollyball - I already have it, but for a quid i couldn't pass it up.
Kirby Pinball - been after a minty one of these for ages, shame it wasn't packed properly, grrrr.

    Sorry, nothing gay today.

What's Syndicate Wars like? My only experience of the syndicate series is on md and mcd and I love em both (even though they are pretty weak games in the series apparently)

Jag Syndicate rocks. Much closer to the Amiga and PC versions. I remember playing Syndicate Wars and disliking its yukky PS1 3D (compared to the lovely sprites of yesteryear) but zis vas many of your moons ago... I might be doing it a disservice.

I'll give it a go and find out. I only bought it as i loved it on the Amiga and the PS1 version is mouse compatible.

More goodies through the post today.

            For Saturn

Sengoku Blade (was factory sealed before I played on it )
            Layer Section II (Mint)
Gundam Zeta - based on the Bandai Macross game engine. In other words it's crap. The really odd thing about this though is that the FMV (Cinipac) doesn't work on the Hitachi Hi-Saturn or Bios version 1.01 of a normal Sega Saturn. You can hear the sound but no video. I've got over 450 games and this is the first time I'Ve ever seen such a thing. I've checked the disc in the PC and ran the movie files which all work fine with the Saturn cinipac codec so why not run on a Saturn? Anyone have any ideas? I've tried playing the game through S-Video and AV with the same effect.

That Mega Drive cartridge you see on the back on Japanese hardware boxes.

How much did you pay? Seeing as XCom (in the US longbox style) is worth ?20-25 complete you probably got a good deal there.

You are. There was a hi-res mode, which made it look substantially cleaner.

Me in disservice shocker! Whoda thunk it! And I'm normally bang-on with my hazy, ill-advised recollections too...

Lots of stuff through today, mainly games recommended by the good people of this board. Just a shame the missus is off work today as she's hogging the main telly ft: .

Warsong and Shadowrun. Not particularly cheap but MD must haves. Kirby was only a couple of quid.

                        A stack more PS1 games!

How much did Warsong set you back and where did you get it from? I'm currently looking for a copy, see.

I got it from this guy - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...191810107&rd=1 it was the same price as this one but the one i bought was in better nick. Also sent it out same day of paying, which was nice.
