Shame it is DOA. Possible PSU, or Fuse inside the machine. It doesn't help that the SNES2 has no LED to show if it has power or not! A new Gamebit tool has been ordered from the States, as I've mislaid the one I had. I will check the power supply unit with a multimeter when I find one to see if it is producing power.

But apart from that, it's all good!

got my hands on a few PSone games at the weekend - not bought, but finally taken out of storage from my parent's place. hidden in the cupboard for years!



they're all PAL, but i don't care - still immense fun to play. all 3 WipEout and SFA games along with my favourite, Ray Tracers. ISS Pro 98 comes with a MGS demo, SFA 1 has a Resident Evil promo disc, Vandal Hearts comes bundled with a Suikoden II demo and R4 still has it's high-spec Ridge Racer demo. great also found my original PlayStation as well.

I received Pentarou's Neo Geo AES last week, and this weekend I set about turning it into the ultimate AES system for him

Summary of mods undertaken:

- Fitting of an officially licensed Universe Bios v2.3 (Unibios by Razoola) which adds many many features, too many to list here check out Raz's website.
- RGB bypass modification, where the RGB is taken directly from the purest source, cutting out any filtration, and also true sync is used instead of composite video. I even wrote a guide on how to do this on this version of AES board, since the guide on neo-geo.com doesnt fit for this model 100%. Picture now looks more defined and brighter!
- Fitting of a superbright, blue power LED inside the reset button, I was happy with the results..!

Anyway heres the pics, and I hope Pentarou enjoys his new AES.. b&b FTW!

First pic shows the blue power LED mod.



Second shows the Unibios bootup screen - note the custom message "Fitted by Chaoticjelly".



Third shows where the stock bios was after having been removed



Fourth is the socket fitted ready for the new Unibios, so it can be easily removed in the future for updates.



Fifth is the RGB bypass mod, the resistors are used as the signal is too bright otherwise, you could put them in the RGB scart, but this lets you use standard Neo Geo RGB scarts which are not supposed to come with any resistors. The sync line was later changed, as IMO having it like that was an error in the original V5-7 guide.. I altered it to suit this consoles needs.



Sixth, finally this is showing where the power etc is tapped for the reset button power LED mod..

Thats EXACTLY what I'm after right now! Except with a Green LED I'm definately going to be PM'ing you 2moro morning also need you to look at a few pics of the current problem I have aswell.
