Got VR for the Saturn, if I spot it for the 32X cheap I may well give it a go on your recommendation. Not heard of the others before as im new to collecting 32X bits and bobs, so thanks for the heads up!

Got to admit the reason I kind of slated the 32X games is that Doom seems very stripped down (thought the Snes version was better) and that MK2 seems to be a port of the standard MD game with better sound. Bit of ignorance on my part, will keep my eyes open a bit more lol!

Heard something about Sonic Chaotix (not sure if that's the right title) being a must have?

Knuckles Chaotix is meant to be good, never played it myself though/.

Sorry to continue the off-topicness, but where there any 32X titles that also needed a Mega CD? I can't even imagine what a nightmare that would have been to develop...

Yup, there are a few 32xcd games. They come on cd but you need the 32x plugged in to play them. They're all crap too imo.

Pal - Night Trap, Slam City, Corpse Killer and Supreme Warrior
US - as above and also Fahrenheit
          JP - None

Edit...Yeah VR is a great conversion, plays really well etc.

Chaotix - quite a 'marmite' game from what people say they think of it. Personally I'm in the hate camp, but plenty of people I know rate it highly! Sonic 2 ftw of course.

            Fantasy Zone // Sonic R
Cool Cool Toon // Fatal Fury Special

Bare Knuckle II (Streets of Rage II) //Dynamite Headdy // Golden Axe II

Soul Calibur // Sonic Shuffle // Crazy Taxi
Samba De Amigo ver. 2000 // Power Smash (Virtua Tennis)

All of this arrived yesterday. The GG version of Bare Knuckle II was a mistake instead of the MD version... But I reckon I'll sell of my PAL GG stuff because Japanese GG boxes are sooo small and cute!

Tesserae for Gameboy arrived the other day in mint condition. I know absolute zero about the game, but it was on eBay, looked nice & had the faint whiff of puzzle about it. So I bought it.

Been buying up some classic Mega CD games this week.

Dennin Aleste I got for 99p - because the seller listed it as 'Compile', I presume it was the only piece of English they could see on the cover, and thought it was the title, rather than the developer! Strange, because on the spine clearly says 'Dennin Aleste'. Oh well, should be thankful I suppose!

Also, Splatterhouse for the PCE arrived today, thanks to mez off the forums.

Well, in the 32X CD field, Night Trap and Corpse Killer were moderately better than the rest ... but I still couldn't face playing any of them for more than 5 mins. Corpse Killer is at least moderately amusing, for the sheer cheese factor of the acting. Supreme Warrior (both standard and 32X version) is virtually unplayable. Slam City is just mind-numbingly dull - enough to make you want to prod your eyeballs out with a spatula.

I also never 'got' Chaotix. I'm told that it's great if you get the hang of the "bungie" system, but I just found it irritating. Nothing beats Sonic 2, to this day!

I rate Kolibri as a pretty decent game. I appreciate that a lot of people prefer their shmups to be spaceships or aeroplanes, and a humming-bird doesn't quite hit the buttons for them, but I've got no complaints with it! And Darxide (which I can only comment on due to a generous loan from wheelaa - thanks again!) is the bees knees, although rock hard.

Any time mate (well not Darxide again as I sold that cart only and got it new sealed!)

I'll give Chaotix another bash this weekend, see if I can 'get' it now!

At last after years of waiting I got a SEGA Wondermega and its hands down the best looking and Sexiest looking console ever made.

Also got a few games after selling a bit on ebay and then using the money to get a Wondermega and these games

That is lovely mate! How much did it set you back, if you don't mind me asking?

                        And Gomola Speed FTW!

****ty pic, but I'm feeling Raizing-y right now

Batrider, Dimahoo, and a copy of Last Hope, sealed, that was just lying in the box when I opened it, for no reason I can fathom - except it's so ****, they are actually giving them away. Still, something for nothing........I guess.

Bought quite a lot of stuff over the last week with most of it being for the baby but that sure doesn't stop the game buying or at least not yet is doesn't.

Dreamcast - Last Hope limited edition with FREE VMU, Metal Wolf, Tentama, Two One (No cover but at the fantastic price of 0 yen ! Big thanks to Escape - to - 88 for that.), Mahjong Taikai II.

                              Wii - Super Paper Mario

Saturn - all ****e apart from the Super Saturn disc, NBA Jam T.E., NHL '97, Those who hunt elves II, some Konami shogi game and Saturn Super Volume 9 (Includes a playable demo of Taumaru).

So, with the addition of Cheese Cat-Astrophe, I know only need one last game to have a complete set of known Blue Box PAL Megadrive games.
