direct-4-games is his ebay user address i think

a chacon full of neo geo games was found in the far east

from what he has said on the neo forums there is about 40,000 units and he has only sold a fraction of that

    all factory sealed as new

Didn't realise that included NGPC games... guess I'll check it out and maybe address a few price/rarity values on the NGPC side...

          Walkden? Isn't that near Manchester?

          Direct-4-Games are grade A c**ts, don't buy off them.

I've bought from them before on more than one occasion without any problems. Why would you say something like that?

Horses for courses. They sell lots so are bound to not come up to scratch sometimes. CJ..I read you had issues over a marked nam 75 wasn't it?

Personally I've been loving the cheap nos homecarts. Sure a couple haven't been mint new, tray damage say, but they're so cheap I'm not fussed tbh. AT least the new GT I bought was perfect!

shipping costs are the only bad thing i can say about them

2 cd's are now missing in the post and i'm not sure if Peter has ignored my request to look into it

                hope he hasnt

but he offers multiple 2nd chance offers as well even if you dont win

i bid on spinmasters and it went to £41, i was offered a 2nd chance offer at £26, so i took it

think at 1 point i got 8 AES carts and 2 cd games and postage was going to be ?46, but i was only charged ?37

but he clearly states it on his auction - so if you bid you cant really complain

Yeah the shipping is a bit much tbh. I have been eyeing up a load of lynx stuff..but for an extra £2 shipping for each game after the first, when the games weigh about 25 grams, it does seem a little off. But as Jason says its clearly stated in the auction, and generally there are lots of bargains to be had.

even though i dont like paying that much for shipping, i look at the bin's he has for some games and the price i've paid and to be honest the bins for some games seem pretty cheap

heck he had a few euro top hunter's for £40 until he realised they were worth more and upped the price to £50

feck i dont even have an AES system but i've got 9 AES carts

Yeah the odd auction has gone silly. He had Andro Dunos BIN for £30 (homecart us) but some on auction went up to £90-100, even while a £30 bin was sitting in the shop! Silly me didn't get it either and its not been up for a while

Yes I bought several items from Direct-4-Games when they were selling their stock on Amazon.

Nam 1975 arrived with black pen on box, cart and manual - this wasnt shown in the description or the picture. Two of the Dreamcast games I bought arrived with smashed + unsealed cases, hardly new condition, and the Mega CD game I bought arrived with a massively scuffed case, dessicated sticker on the front, no spine card, not sealed and the disc was scratched. Also promised a free retro gaming DVD with each order, I didn't receive ANY retro gaming DVD and still have not to this day..

It was really quite difficult to get it sorted out.

I wanted to buy several AES carts as I only have two at the moment, the prices on Amazon were very reasonable and shipping was only £2 per cartridge (thats the shipping rate that Amazon imposes on sellers) so they took all their games off Amazon, and offered them to me at more than double the price saying that they were following the "price guide on Neo-Geo.com" despite them posting on Neo-Geo.com that they wanted to get rid of the stock at non-price-guide prices.

Even better they posted a defamatory statement about me on Neo-Geo.com which despite several requests for removal still remains there, they said that I sent "abusive emails" and "requests for discounts" - I never did anything of the sort and anyone who has dealt with me knows that I am *not* like that.

Theres several threads on there about them having ripped people off, so caveat emptor, if you don't have a problem with them good for you.. but if you do god help you, also someone posted there saying that they were called "sad" etc over the telephone for spending so much cash on Neo Geo games.. decide for yourself whether you want to deal with them !

Good info cheers. Caveat emptor indeed. Sorry to hear of your nightmare!

Bottom line is I'm sure they don't really care if they piss some people off. They know they have lots of stock and they will sell it regardless, so I guess a few stubbed toes on the way means nothing for them. I have read their arsey comments you allude to and tbh it was very rude of them.

But then again as long as I keep getting what I order, for cheap, then I dont really care about their attitude tbh. Its always been good to me (as is mine to them I must add), and long may it continue.

i may have to go through paypal to get a refund for those 2 cd's since he has ignored my pm's asking about them

will pm him tonight and offer 1 week - its been 29 days so far

shame really as chatting to Peter, he seemed like a decent enough guy, but after using paypal i guess i will be blocked, which is a shame for some of the cd games that i need
