    Definitive Snes games

May be getting a bit of a bargain tonight, so I'm after a list of definitive SNES titles. Here's a few I've thought of so far. I'm not interested in any titles that have since been superceded on better consoles, just stuff specific to SNES.

    Here's a starter

    Super Metroid
    Super Aleste
    Actraiser
    Mario Kart
    Super Castlevania V
    Contra III
    Axelay
    Pilot Wings
    Super Mario World
    Illusion of Time
    Yoshi's Island
    Secret of Mana
    Chrono Trigger
    Un Squadron
    Cybernator
    R-Type 3
    A Link To the Past

Area 88/UN Squadron should be added to that list, as should Assault Suits Valken/Cybernator.

        Super Valis IV!

        For you regular types, ISS.

See, I wouldn't be interested in ISS as the N64 versions are better (same reason why I wont have Star Wing in there).

Just out of interest, I've no idea what the other two games are you've mentioned.

I remember Illusion of time being quite good. All the other games have better versions on other systems though, so I'm not interested in them

You don't rate N64 Pilotwings then?

Plok for the SNES is an essential buy if you like quirky (and tough) platformers.

All the ones in my sales thread are must-haves...

Anyway, here's a couple of super games that haven't been mentioned yet:

                      Super Metroid
                      Super Aleste

Got to admit, never liked Plok much...

All 4 ganbare goemon games, the sfc versions still reign supreme.

                            Woah woah woah pedro.

ISS on the Snes is a great game still for soccer fans. It's not like once you buy one game in a genre it eliminates the need for others.

Yes, but I'd still play the N64 versions over it. Sorry but that's the sort of shallow minded individual I am.
