I remember seeing Undercover Cops in the Arcade Action section of CVG years ago, and thinking it looked pretty neat. How much does the SNES version go for?

Hey Duddy if you on about capcom scrollers best avoid magic sword as its a bit ****! Best side scroller on the SNES/SFC imho is super double dragon by tradewest not to be confused with double dragon 5 again by tradewest which is a one on one fighter and its pure ****e! But then again no side scroller on the snes compares to the delights of streets of rage 2, and this is coming from a die-hard Nintendo fan.

Aye, Streets 2 is t3h r0xx0rZ, as they say. However, I found that Konami's TMNT4: Turtles in Time does come pretty close. Best SNES side-scrolling beat 'em up, IMNSHO.

I'd go with Undercover Cops by Varie (original by Irem). It's pretty impressive for a SFC game plus has some wicked audio !! If not that then get Double Dragon by Technos Japan (trade west for the US version) This is pretty cool if not just a little slow. TMNT in Time is also good and pretty long at that. Apart from them 3 I'd say the others range from ok to poo. What ever you do don't but Sonic Blastman 1 or 2, Cosmic Police, Magic Sword or Rushing Beat (Rival Turff) becausethey are all last.

I've never seen it anywhere on the net - VGI, ebay, yahoo japan. Nowhere.

So I'd imagine it'll be one of the more expensive SNES games to buy when it appears. You're not missing much though.

I've got an NTSC King of Dragons cart only up for grabs. Not a big fan myself - but it does have a certain Golden Axe-lite charm to it I suppose.

Duddy.. sorry I'm late to your thread- didn't notice it for some reason!

Anyway... Undercover Cops is a very dodgy game. Poor dull graphics- simplistic animation and gameplay- it really is weak!

All the Rushing Beat games are too boring. The 2nd and 3rd have their moments- but the amount of samey enemies that need to be dispatched really grates. I would advise against splashing the cash on them!

There was mention of Magic Sword earlier in the thread- and the poster referred to it as rubbish. It is imo a great title full of atmosphere- good graphics and action!

One game I love and recommend is ' Hammerin Harry ' . I haven't played it for a while- but as far as I know it isn't an arcade conversion. This Super Famciom version has excellent graphics- funny characters and gameplay- plus lots of action!

Ninja Warriors is a fantastic title. Top grade graphics and sound mixed with exciting gameplay; what more could you want?

The snes really isn't too good for scrolling fighters. Final Fight is probably my favourite title and shows what the snes can do- it's just a shame no2 and 3 aren't as great!

                        Absolutely love this game!

Yep, Magic Sword is actually a decent game. The SNES port looks a bit weak but it plays well in MAME.

Hammerin' Harry is one of my faves but I put my copy up for sale a few days ago cause I usually replace my SFC games if they're not in ex/v.good condition.

Magic Sword isn't a perfect conversion- as with all Capcom snes ports. It is a good looking game full of fun though- and worth buying!

Hammerin Harry is a brilliant game- every snes collector should have a copy!
