How can they go for nothing when things like the first few issues of Retrogamer go for huge sums!?

    Its a funny old world.

      Guys,

I am starting up a site soon which will be created as a resource for all things to do with UK retro computer and console magazines

I have recently taken over the "old-computer-mags.co.uk" site, and I have a new domain name and plenty of new ideas to go with it.

The idea would be to have a section on each of the magazines, with certain information relating to individual issues etc. A bit like Duddyroars Mean Machines site but on a bigger scale. Interviews with old writers, info on contents, games reviewed etc.

Anyone interested in helping out with it?

      Regards
      Simon

I have this C&VG special issue from around 1994, has rise of the robots on the cover, has stuff like doom review and the making of magic carpet, it regularly gets a good read, anyone know anything about this?

I used to buy several games magazines from 1985-95. C&VG, CU, all the Newsfield mags and quite a few Future titles. Sadly I had to get rid of some of them when we moved house in the mid 90's - Therefore I lost all my New Computer Express collection (a weekly Future title) and quite a few ST and Amiga Format's.

I still have quite a few mags (stored away in two cupboards). Its lucky we have someone as dedicated as Mort who spends hours scanning away to produce his CDs and DVD's of mag collections, as I am sure its an easy way of getting to read the old mags, for a lot of people.

I would love to own a full ZZAP! collection, that I mag is the mag I have the most fond memories of.

It seems very few mentioned zzap and it is a shame since it was a great newsfiled pubblication.
BTW I'm in the market to buy a full collection if anyone has it.

I've got the entire collection of ZZAP!64 - If you are looking to getting hold of them, why not get the scanned versions on CD or DVD? Much cheaper and takes up less space!

The scan quality is rather good actually and definately readable. Naturally it will not replace a physical collection, but for the price that is being charged, what more do you want?

Really good - Let's face it, the amount of people that have bought one of his Cd's, Mort would have been rumbled if they were crap..

I'd be interested in all of those depending on price.
