      Thats the one!

Thanks mate; thats a fantastic website - seems to be a huge amount of info on there. Certainly brought back a lot of great memories.

Corrupt Rose should check out that site as there are some great scans of adverts and box art.

Great link Baseley- the site is fantastic!

Have a look at this http://hol.abime.net/81/screenshot -and see how the Amiga could provide Japanese experiences to rival the consoles!

Its a shame more quality Japanese games weren't ported to the Amiga. Just look at BC-Kid- simply beautiful!

Reflections started on the BBC Micro with Ravenskull and a few others.

Then onto the Amiga- Ballistyx, Shadow of the Beast 1, Shadow of the Beast 2, AWESOME, Shadow of the Beast 3, and Brian the Lion.

Playstation 1 - Destruction Derby 1, Monster Trucks, Destruction Derby 2, Driver 1, Driver 2.

          Playstation 2 - Stuntman, Driver 3, Driver 4

          Xbox - Driver 3, Driver 4

          Depressing isn't it?

            Just a bit.

Reflections could do no wrong after Driver in my eyes, they've fallen badly by the wayside since. Although their titles still shift the units, so I'm guessing they're not too put out.

The death scene guitar solo in SOTB2 is enuff proof of genius at work

Peeps diss SOTB playability, fair dos while Amiga version looks and sounds the best (greatest home 16 bit?) the Megadrive (EA version) & PC Engine versions play a great/easier game.

PCE version of Shadow of the Beast was made by DMA Design, who of course went on to make Lemmings and the Grand Theft Auto series.

I didn't think it played any better though. Looked identical to me, but with worse visuals.

Beast 2 was the best of the series for me, and the best version of Beast 2 is on the Mega CD.

For me, their top PSX stuff was Colony Wars and G-Police. But definitely, definitely Colony Wars. Played it briefly, but *wow*.

And many, many fond memories of their box art and striking logotypes.

The less said about Colony Wars 2 and its ****off escort/retrieve-this-****-bit-of-cargo-whilst-getting-****pummelled missions the better.

One of the only PS1 games I took back to the shop in contempt. *spit*

Colony Wars was one of the first PS1 games to utilise its hi-res mode, wasn't it?

It ran in high-res, that's for sure. Don't know if it was the first. Games beforehand had used the mode on menu and title screens. Colony Wars was an amazing game, the closest a console ever got to having an X-Wing-beater.

Krazy Ivan is a game I have fond memories of, regardless of the fact that it was a bit crap. The FMV is still impressive today.

The control system in Krazy Ivan sucked donkey testicle. I remember hating it.

I *loved* Assault Rigs, though, for obvious Tron-related reasons. In fact, methinks there's a game to hunt down and buy again.

Well, if you want to talk Playstation-era, the Wipeout series, specifically 3:SE are not only my fave Psygnosis releases, but favorite by anyone on the platform.

G-Police, and especially the sequel, always seemed horribly stunted by poor draw distances.

They published Alundra in the UK and for that I am grateful. However, the success of Alundra prompted them to develop their own action RPG which turned out to become Kingsley. The less said about that the better.

Anyone remember a game called Sentient on psone which was done by psygnosis?
At the time (long time ago) i remember this on psone being quite an ambitious title, just how many question could you ask in one game?? Also it apparently had 6 story lines running in the game that you could take on depending on your actions in game, remember this was on psone in 1997.
I am aware it was a PC game also BUT for a psone to push that out was pretty cool.
