          PowerDrift.
It had the extra life sound from Afterburner as the insert coin noise.

I can't believe no one has mentioned Smash TV's "Bingo" yet.

After getting my pirate Champion Edition board semi-working last night (it crashed after about 5 minutes but seeing as it previously didn't work at all I'll call that progress) I'm definitely going to say that the one single insert coin noise that takes me back to beautiful days that we'll never see the likes of again is the Street Fighter 2 classic versions coin noise. That single noise takes me years back to days of 10p credits, a 10-minute walk home from school that lasted 3 hours because of the kebab shop and video shop (resulting in numerous bollockings until I just owned up and said I go to the arcade with mates from school, which turned out not to be too bad an option in the end anyway coz that was perfectly ok as long as I told my mum) and the one time when over the course of a week I stole 60 quid from my step-dad's wallet to hang out with mates and play Hyper Fighting

Oh and my board's either a Red Wave or Rainbow version, probably more likely Rainbow, but I can't tell coz while it does run for a bit the colours are a bit knackered so I can't tell what colours are on the title screen coz it's all faded. You can do air moves and no charges but only one at a time, so it's definitely not blackbelt, and dragon punches go sideways but without fireballs coming out so I think it's most likely to be Rainbow. It's not a rom swap though, it's a completely bootleg item, which is actually unusual as far as I know. More progress tonight! And I'll have to make a kick button loom too when I can be bothered to buy a molex.

Edit: Actually, having looked at the shots on KLOV which are more likely of Rainbow rather than Red Wave, I think mine's a Red Wave version. It's definitely not the Blackbelt version I remember from the arcades and you don't get multiple fireballs or twin fireballs. I'll have to check on MAME tonight and see which version most closely resembles mine.

                Super Pang

15 years on after I first played it and I still wonder if the guy is actually saying 'SUPER PANG!' or 'SUPER PAM!'

I like to think it's the latter.

I instantly thought of the bleeps from Soul Edge, although I don't even know if that was the insert credit noise on the arcade machine (or just the select noise on the Playstation!)

NEARLY TWENTY YEAR OLD THREAD BOUNCE!!!!!!!!!!

The insert coin sound for the Moonwalker coin-op is more hilarious than it should be.
