    Xevious. Loved that sound.

    Outrun.

Any Atari stuff from the right period (the dull chime mentioned earlier - Roadblasters had it, 720 I think and most of their other stuff around the mid-late 80's)

Gauntlet was good if I remember - then again the sound was fantastic in general on that cab, especially when I was a kid.

What, no Moonwalker yet? Best by far. Can't beat a sampled "EEEEHEEEE".

Sinistar for me to. I Hunger is a classic, but i always liked the AAAAARRRRGGGH! noise, had it for my new mail noise till workmates complained :P , and Beware Coward, made "famous" recently by the Bits Girls.

Can i add in a pinball machine? I have recollections of the Star Wars Pinball one getting quite excited on a coin being inserted.

            Great topic. My favourites are

Robotron as you get a different effect each time. I love those Williams sound effects.

Tron also had a good little jingle..

                  Yep, blatantly.
                  Oh and Ghosts n Goblins.
                  Or Digdug.
World Cup 90's was suitably obnoxious, along with the rest of the game
With this thread, have we descended into a level of nerdiness from which we'll never return?

Get M1 Player (with the GUI) and you can go through as many memory addresses as you want to listen to music and sounds and also dump them to wav.

In the confines of a busy office this is almost guaranteed to annoy the hell out of those pesky fellow office workers.

Why not try it during a meeting? So that you can't hear a word that your idiot/wealthy Financial Director is barking at you?

Don't forget to crank the volume up to 11.

Kung-Fu Master A minute's worth of this cheeky little number should see the fists (not those of Thomas, I might add) flying, and we all like a good fight, don't we?

TMNT is sure to break the ice at any party.

Why not take these for a spin on Monday? If you work in an office and aren't too fond of your colleagues/staying employed.

it was a funky version of the simpsons jingle (dan, dan, dan, da dan - hope that makes sense!)

                        My faves:

Any Street Fighter 2 (CPS1, but CPS2's alright too)

                        Mortal Kombat 1

Marvel Super Heroes vs Street Fighter - "Welcome to the adventure!"

the first sound that came into my head on seeing this thread was the electric guitar scratch/thrash insert coin from Twin Eagle.

You'd get a sort of CZHEEZOW noise before the guitar thrash. The neat thing was if you put in a coin that got you more than one credit, it would play the first part of the noise repeatly reflecting the number of credits.

No, no it didn't (well it did, but not when you inserted coinage, like).

                              *this a glitch!!! etc
