Not only did Pete Cooke write some of the greatest games ever on his own in Tau Ceti, Academy and Micronaut One, but he also worked with Sir Geoffrey Crammond on the F1GP series, doing the all the menus and fiddly bits while Geoff did the physics engine. Your list is missing the Amiga classic Tower Of Babel, too.

Tower Of Babel - I had it on the ST - I was trying to remember the name (could picture the game in my head). I fuggin loved that.

This thread is going well - more names & titles please - the Amiga emu is getting dusted off tonight

I love Koshiros work - some of the SoR2 tunes are the stuff of legend. Factor in his other MD stuff like SOR1&2 and Shinobi and there's bearly a bad note to be heard.

One of my favourite pieces he did was from a promo video for Shenmue which was on some Sega/DC (UK) mag back in the day - It was like a slightly D&B track - It rawked. I never found it in the game and I've never heard it anywhere since - Anybody know the track I mean ?

Jon Ritman - Head Over Heels, Matchday2, Batman, etc.

Head Over Heels is one of the best games ever.

                  This might be contentious but....

Jon Carmack and John Romero. Between them they basically invented one of the most popular genres on the planet and shook up PC gaming. I've listed them together because I think neither of them can cut it on there own.

Sensible Soccer is definitely a better game (would it have existed at all without Mr.Dini's exploits, though? ) , but IMO, suffers a bit from "same goal" syndrome - Usually a 20-yard curler, or a near-post header from a corner. At least 75% of the goals i scored in Sensi were like that. The rest were probably penalties

Kick Off 2 required more skill - You actually had to control the ball while you were running with it, and had way more variety in ways you could score and build up moves etc. Class game.

Haven't played KO2 in over a decade though, so maybe I've got the rose tints on with that one.

Dino Dini made a third game, though it was called "Goal!" for some reason, probably red-tape. Very similar to KO2, but IMO, even better. Amazing what control you got with a joystick and ONE button.
