Shocking Ebay Prices

Just wondering (sorry to go OT) but is it possible to mod a UK NES to be region free and 60hz? What about a smegadrive (I know you can just cut the cart slot but some of the games I want to import have region protection)?

The region-mod is a piece of cake (cut pin 4 on the lock-out chip), but no, it's not possible to mod a PAL NES for 60Hz.

Manufacturing error - they pressed all the PAL discs with the NTSC version of the game by mistake! It was recalled from the shops quite quickly, and supposedly going to be re-released in proper PAL version, but it never happened.
