Yeah, that Compile. Best known in the west for their shoot em ups and creating the Puyo Puyo series before Sega got their hands on it. Plus loads of Japanese only PC stuff - and Guru Logi Champ!

Gulkave (MSX and SG-1000/SC-3000) was one of their very few horizontally scrolling shooters although only the names of Pony Canyon and Sega appear on it. Not the sort of game that would get a good Wii VC review.
Nowhere near as expensive as that copy of Rendering Ranger of course but I hate buying from sellers who overprice everything.

      From Kotaku
On ebay opening bid of $15,000 for Zelda dishware, but wants $ 100K WTF
The starting bid is not yet met on this set of new-in-the-box Legend of Zelda dishware from 1989, a three-piece set the seller hopes to sell for $100,000 but will be willing to part with for, presumably, $15,000.

I've had a look at what minty SNES consoles go for and have been totally shocked. Found a complete one in the loft so have bunged it on.

Any idea why they're suddenly going for so much? Last one I sold a few years back went for something like £20, where as now they're going for anything between £50 and £125+!!!

Probably because lots have gone yellow and brittle.

I want that Zelda dishware, it looks class! (but obviously not for 100k)

Boxed SNES seem to be at silly highs again, it happened in the past. My mine Mario All Stars one was my first console, and is happily residing nice and mint in my attic

My current shocking eBay price is the probably now infamous Lego Indiana Jones Original Adventure for Wii. Since I'm no pirate, my copy is on eBay hopefully for much cashing in on such yarr fiends.

              but seriously are they sure?
Being a regular user of Amazon I can say that some of the seller on there these days really have smoked far to much of their funny pipe.

It a laugh a minute the prices some are charging for games.

I know cart-only copies of DoReMi for the SFC are pretty common, but I've not seen many boxed copies about, and this copy is looking like it'll go for a pretty penny.

Baffling import auction of the week - G?tzendiener, a very cheap and common PC Engine CD game getting up to $76. Noticed it while trying to buy another PCE game, probably cost Yamatoku just a few pence. Would've thought most PC-Engine collectors are more clued up than that.

You can even buy it sealed on ebay for a not so great $20

When I sold up my PC-Engine collection on ebay, I was shocked at the prices some of the crappy, common games would fetch. Some games that i'd bought for one or two pounds were fetching £30-40 at auction. Not that I was complaining mind you.

Had a similar thing happen when I came back from Japan last Christmas. Picked up a pile of Hucards for about ?3 a pop (all rubbish, cheap titles) then couldn't believe how they would shoot up to ?15 a time in some cases. I ended up making around ?300 from spending about ?40

take it now would be a good time to get shot of the PC Engine stuff I don't want then?

Wait a couple more weeks until pay day. People are still getting over Xmas and I'm guessing won't have that much more free cash to spend on games. I've always found in general that pre-summer is always best to sell as I find prices drop around then.

As long as you ship overseas you might do ok. Almost all of my stuff went to Germany and France. UK buyers won't pay much for anything on eBay I've found. (not for good quality mint stuff anyway)
