christmas tends to cause this with people wanting very specific presents but i must admit its strange to see people paying more in auctions than the buy it now prices for exactly the same thing.

I wouldn't mind but the console is blatantly not new!! I wish people would stop describing things as new when what they actuall mean is - it's in excellent condition. If it's new, how can they explain the opening tab that looks like someone's opened and closed the box about a hundred times?!! It's not even like it's mint. The corner of the box is crushed and there's a big long crease on the front.

Of course, that doesn't take anything away from the fact that it's a stupid price (getting all too common these days).

Two complete versions of these have these have gone through ebay recently for around the £100 mark - I bagged one of them. This character reckons that the box alone is worth over £200. You'd think they'd find a box inner and chuck it in the package at that price!!

That's mental. If you pay £70 for a boxed Super Mario World you're blatantly an idiot. It's a £15 game at most. The other examples are just as bonkers.
