    Use bicarbonate of soda, get a big tub with an airtight lid.

    Now cover the bottom with a thick layer of bicarbonate of soda then put a paper towel over it, now put your box or manual or cart on the paper towel & put the lid back on the tub.

    Now leave it for a few days & come back, the bicarbonate of soda should absorb the odour. Depending on how bad it smells, it might take days or it might take weeks.

      hmm...
      forgot about the bicarbonate soda...
      I use it to bond things permanently. Just drop of super glue with it and it will bond for life - well if you put the jack hammer it will break away though...

          Was going to suggest the bicardonate method myself, i've used it on a fridge and microwave and it got rid of some bad smells in there
