Tbh are there any games on the MD unsuitable for a 6 year old? Even stuff like MK and Splatterhouse are tame nowdays, and im sure he'd rather play something 'gory'

Toejam and Earl: Panic on Funkatron
Aladdin
Rolo to the Rescue
Sonic 2
Mega Bomberman
If you can get hold of the Classics Collection, it's usually not too much of a hit and you get Gunstar Heroes, plus Flicky (great game!) as well as Alex Kidd in Miracle World and Altered Beast.
Gunstar Heroes is certainly no pushover though!! A six year old will prob. find it pretty frustrating!

Definitely Aladdin.
Seem to remember some of the James Pond games being quite tough but maybe I was just to young.
Wonder Boy series - Is it monster world or land on the MD - whichever it was, its great.
Earthworm Jim is top notch.
I enjoyed Street Fighter and Streets of Rage back in the day and I was about 6, don't know if you're trying to avoid those sort of games though...

A cheap way to get Gunstar Heroes along with some other games would be ace.
@Champloo:
The Wonderboy series is a good idea
Earthworm Jim is awesome, I might be considering it, but I think it's a bit too hard.
Regarding Street Fighter, that seems a expensive for me, as I'd have to buy two six button pads along with it.Last edited by Ryo Saeba; 18-06-2007, 07:00.

Robocod is great, I'd say Kid Chameleon but it's bloody hard. Krusty's Super Fun House or Lemmings possibly, ToeJam & Earl 1 & 2, Castle of Illusion is still one of the best games I ever played and although it might be a little too old for him, Revenge of Shinobi still ranks in my top 5 games of all time. Earthworm Jim 1 & 2 definitely

Sega Ages Vol. 25: Gunstar Heroes Treasure Box for PlayStation 2Three of the most popular Sega Mega Drive action games appear in one great compilation, publisher under the Sega Ages label. Gunstar Heroes: Treasure Box has been developed by Treasure themselves, containing the following three games: Gunstar Heroes, Dynamite Headdy and Alien Soldier. The collection contains the Japanese original and a number of foreign versions of each game (for example the US version of Dynamite Headdy, which changed some of the graphics and the European version of Alien Soldier), super plays of Alien Solder and Gunstar Heroes, option to record your ...

ToeJam & Earl looks mad, I love that^^ Iremember reading that the first one is kind of like a roguelike, which I really find intriguing. To bad that it seems to be so expensive.
And while I'm at it, anyone knows if it would be possible to play NTSC games on a PAL machine without a converter? That would be nice ^_-
@wheelaa: Awesome, thx. Why haven't I ever heard of it? Seems like it has been released exclusively in the UK

World of Illusion was OK, not as catching as Castle, to me it felt like more style over content, not sure why. It's like all those Disney straight to DVD sequels....there's just no soul in them
ToeJam & Earl: Panic on Funkotron (the sequel) is very good and a wonderfully colourful platformer and definitely worth it, but the original has so many little sight gags and fantastic characters you need to get it.

Japanese games won't fit.
