The people on Screwattack annoy me greatly. So i don't believe jack what they say, some of the stuff that comes out of their mouths is ludicrous. I prefer Undercover Cops to TIT. But thats me.

My friend had all the PAL Final Fights, the first one was the best one. The last one was the worst, we never did like that one.

I also have all 3 pal Final Fights and the problem with the fist is that there is no 2 player! I think the 3rd one is quite good as it has moves like those from street fighter and you build up the super bar like in super street fighter 2 turbo!

There was something weird about 3. I just couldn't put my finger on it, it never grabbed me like the others. But then i always prefered Streets of Rage anyway.

...And that all three characters aren't selectable from the start (hence the release of Final Fight Guy, and even then Cody was axed in favour of Guy), and the fact that a level is missing (Industrial Area - Level 4).

The original Final Fight on the SNES/SFC is a pretty poor conversion, truth be told.

Question: How credible can this be, really? They rate The Simpson's coin-op highly, for feck's sake!

Look, Turtles In Time was fun, especially on the SNES (and I'm speaking as somebody who played it from start to finish back in the day), but it had flaws. The Surfboard/hoverboard sections feel tacky and bolted-on (not in the coin-op original, iirc), and some of the boss fights felt ridiculously cheap in terms of the CPU AI (Slash, Bebop & Rocksteady, Razaa & Tokhar, Shredder/Super Shredder, etc.), especially on the tougher difficulty settings.

It bombed as an arcade game - many prefer the original 4-Player TMNT Arcade Game that preceded it - but found a niche as a fine SNES game. Best scrolling fighter of all-time? No way, not even close, and DEFINITELY not when it you put it up alongside some of Capcom's finest arcade scrollers.

It was good at the time it came out though. Cant hold up today of course as the Mega CD version is probably the best one of the yesteryear consoles.

But that's just it - was it really?

The GBA & Sharp X68000 versions p1ss all over it as well, imo - in fact, the Sharp X68000 conversion of Final Fight was essentially dead-on, 1:1 arcade perfect, which the Mega CD version (developed by Sega) wasn't.

Remember folks everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and it would be a dull thread if we all agreed on the same game! Personally barring the streets of rage games, I cannot agree that the megadrive was the equal or superior of the snes when it came to scrolling fighters. The turtles game wasn't as good as the snes one, the punisher was ok but felt a bit scrappy. The golden axe games are fun and two crude dudes was fun, but for me the snes won because it had the final fights, the rushing beat games (third one is an absolute corker), captain commando, knights of the round, and turtles. On top of that you had games like sailor moon, the sonic blastman titles, the combatribes and a load of others.
Don't get me wrong, I love streets of rage 2, and I have a real soft spot for the golden axe games, put personally I enjoy what the snes has to offer more. Horses for courses and other cliches!!

To be fair, ****ty colours aside, the Mega CD version is probably closer graphically to the PCB than the GBA version and the X68K isn't a console.

Can't agree with you more, The SNES was the king of scrolling fighters, Rushing beat 3 is indeed a corker! Also King of Dragons is a good one.

Nu-Eclipse, I had at release and still do have nearly all SNES scrolling fighters inc all capcom ones (also played them in the arcades) In mine and many, many other people's opinions Turtles in time is the most fun with best graphics and sound.
The arcade Turtles was SH1t mate, Really Sh1t compared to the SNES Turtles. Even the megadrive turtles was far better.

I know screwattack cant be taken seriously but I have also seen other polls and Turtles In Time is always near too, or on top.

Owning and completing all of these games many times I think gives me good judgement on which are best!

Word, close or not, the arranged soundtrack on Mega CD is worth the admission fee.

Did anyone play Wild Guns? Don't know whether or not its rare, but it was one hell of a classy snes game.

Yep, quality game! Made by Natsume, they had a good SNES catalogue. I know the JPN version of Wild Guns goes for a pretty penny, did it get a PAL release?

Also, how about Saturday Night Slam Masters...Is that considered rare?

It acually did. I think someone on here picked it up in some fleamarket in Europe. I also remember it being reviewed domestically in Super Play.
