Well I've just upgraded to an iMac and Windows 7 is installed via Boot Camp. I tried playing PSO: BB (after reading your post, incidentally) and Gameguard doesn't work under W7. I might install an XP partition but for one game it seems a bit OTT. Would rather play on the DC anyway and use a pad and my giant plasma

Found everything without any big problems, the tricky ones I still rememered from when I played it on the N64.
I have to admit it was still very enjoyable to play on the 360.

can't remember though how to enter the secret cave at the Sharkbay.....

I also never found out how the enter the secret door in Gobi's Valley where the camel is lying (he gives you a honeycomb as well when you stomp him for the 2nd time)

and I never found out how to get the ICE key .....
If you have a Banjo N&B save file all those places are available.

Been playing Gradius today on the Famicom. Jesus christ. This game is too much. I can't get off the first level! There's this bit just before the boss where the screen stops scrolling at two small volcanoes or something and a billion rocks fly out for something like 4 hours. The only way to avoid them is to stay in the top left corner and use the konami code so you can drop missiles on them. Without the code it's impossible. The boss is impossible even with the code. To hell with this!!!

Been playing Secret of Mana on the Wii VC. Feels like yesterday that I dropped £40 on a battered USA copy. All the memories came flooding back..and the music..wow. I'm 100% going to play through this at some point this year.

Been sticking with Gradius and played it a bit more last night. Managed to get to level 2 or 3 or something and to level 2 on Gradius 2. It's a hell of a lot easier if you have a bunch of options and double or lasers on. I still maintain that the game is impossible without using the konami code though. And why can I only use the code once per level or whatever? It's bull****!

Gradius was always over rated IMO. Sure, the newer games are nice but there are far better shooters than Gradius these days.

I've been playing a lot of Twinkle Tail on the Mega Drive these last few days. True cult classic.!

I've gone back to playing Burning Rangers on the Saturn , I forgotten how bloody great the game is . Also be playing a bit of Batman Returns (hands down the best 16 bit driving game ) and Jaguar XJ220 on the Mega CD .

Martins Jaguar music score is so soothing and pefect , and John O'Brien Batman 3D engine the most impressive on any 16 bit format , the game still looks impressive

Got out the Master System last night and cained some Alex Kidd in Miracle World. Girlfriend was over and absolutely loved it. She hasn't played that game for nearly...20 years!?!?

Great music, great gameplay. Also played Sonic The Hedgehog (8 bit). A brilliant game; my first ever Sonic game.

Finally finished Sonic 1 last night (from start to finish, no cheating) after getting hooked on it, watching that Game Center CX episode. Maybe Sonic 2 next.

I have to admit, I really dislike Alex Kidd. Sonic on the other hand...
About to play Blood Omen Legacy of Kain.

I've always found Gradius games to be extremely tough. The comedy versions of it[Parodius] .. are much more easy going. In fact.. I prefer the Parodius games; they put a big smile on my face.

I've been playing Super Mario Kart. It's still the best cute racer ever made. I wish someone would make a modern remake. Take the whole game - turn it in to Hi-res polygons, and it would be heaven on earth. I'd love to see that on the Virtual Console. Nintendo could easily remake it with modern visuals.

I've been getting my teeth into Waku Waku 7 and Zed Blade on Neo Geo, and tinkering a little bit with Web Warp / Wars on the Vectrex. Best played in the dark. Speaking of which, Enemy Zero on the Saturn keeps staring at me from its shelf.
