Man I forgot how easy but addictive modern egg was on G+W gallery 3. I had 1000+ points on my first try!

Been playing more of oracle of ages and loving it! Glad I never finished it back in the day as it's basically given me a new 2D Zelda to play now Completely fresh

Also been playing Konami vol 3, man I forgot Konami used to be able to make good games Getton Gottang (or something) is a fun little game.
Not had too much playtime into goemon, but I'm not a fan of the constantly spawning enemies even if they are a breeze to kill, the game feels kinda cheap, it's just as soon as you move away from part of the area it resets completely as if you were never there
Pop n twinbee is fun but quite hard (i've never been into shooters), would probably rather play R type DX than this for now.
Bikers of course is pretty damn fun and loving it but the difficulty soon rises and the cpu is a cheating git.

I also found pokemon crystal the other day so started playing it again, I was about 4 badges in but had no idea where I was going or what I was doing after a bit of poking around I was able to work it out and am on track for the 5th badge now
I just remember how bloody annoying the caves were for the random pokemon battles every 3 ****ing steps. ¬_¬

I quite like Warioland 3 but feel it's inferior to Warioland 2 which was feckign brilliant!
Many of the secrets I can't seem to access for whatever reason but it annoys me as I'll spend a good 5 minutes trying to get to them till I have to give up and assume it's not accessable till later.

you should use a bug spray! i've got fifty hours and about 120 pokemon clocked up on pokemon green, I need to return to that aswell! Finished R type DX today and finally (about 10 years after first playing it) unlocked the de souza drawing mode and... wtf!? either I'm missing something, or this is the worst unlockable ever included in a video game... what is the ****ing point of it!? But r type still kicks ass, may try it on hard now. Although, having said that, easy was not all that easy, especially when the limitations of the gameboy's onscreen action capabilities means that half the bullets are invisible!

I too got oracle of seasons when it came out but got stuck very early on and gave up on it (even though link's awakening is one of my favourite games of all time). Got the jap versions a couple of years ago, and before christmas I got jap guides to them both, so I'm saving them a little longer, then this summer I'm finally gonna crack into them. Gonna go down to my gran's house for a few weeks with my girlfriend. Gonna be lying in bed summer mornings with birdsong coming through the window, playing classic top down zelda on a gameboy color, it's going to be beautiful.

On a GBC you say? As much as I like "the real experience" I do think Id get better enjoyment out of something backlit myself :P I have vowed to never return to the reflective dull screens of the past again

oh I've been playing donkey kong (94'?) a fair bit and I'm totally surprised! I thought this whole time it was just a poor port of the poor arcade port on the NES! I didn't realise it went further after the first 4 levels and actually had a world map, levels that involved finding keys and what not! I really love it and it may easily find a place in my top 10 gameboy games of all time. also the colours are pretty damn good, I'm almost convinced it's a black cartridge GBC hybrid inside a grey cart

After the super gameboy was conceived, a lot of gameboy games were given more advanced colour pallettes when used with it, and I'm assuming that also comes into play on the gameboy color/advance. I like to play things on the original!

Anyway, I just had a bit of a go on Rayman 1. I've only played a couple of levels, but for the love of god, could someone tell me what the appeal is here? Uninspiring characters and enemies, a clustered enviroment where I can't tell what I can jump on, and defeated boss characters high fiving rayman, hugging, and giving a wink to the camera? gimme a break. How can this be the UK's best selling playstation game of all time? I don't get it.

That's what I thought too when I started playing it last summer, and I was also pleasantly surprised. It's a very nice little game, not world-changing perhaps but neatly put together and good fun while it lasts. It seems like it has sort of slipped into obscurity, entirely undeservedly.

Mario vs. Donkey Kong for the GBA is supposed to be more of the same but I haven't tried that one yet.

Yeah DK '94 is brilliant. Some of the later levels will have you scratching your head, but there's a nice feeling of acomplishment when you finally figure it out.
The GBA and DS updates are worth playing, although they lack the charm of the original imo.

I'm with you on this one. I'v ranted about it on here before. Rayman is one of a breed of really ****ty attempts to making 'mascot characters' and I really would rather stick my honey coated cock in a Beehive than have to see him and his charmless fizzog near any of my consoles.

...and that goes for Croc to.

                        Good choice shuffle!

Did you know the full game is actually hidden in the Demo disc that came free on a magazine. If you use the level select code and goto the third level, you skip the code that ends the demo on level 2 and you can continue on!

I managed to finish the very hard Mr Gimmick last night. Unfortunately I got the bad ending as I didnt/couldnt collect all the secret items. But still, a fantastic game thats well worth the price tag!

Thanks! It's really nice to hear comments like that. I don't go into depth or anything, but I like to post a little bit about what interests me... hopefully in a way other people can saunter through (if nothing else than for photos).
